So, it’s a four inning game now with Burnes out. 
 

I would have taken that starting the day, but I’m still lamenting the missed opportunities.

Kind of feels like one of those games the Brewers should win but just can't come up with the hit to bring in the load of runners they're getting.

Somebody has to explain the need to play Wiemer today when Bauers and Chourio are both available. I don't get it. The beauty of this season has been no auto outs. Now we are back to this and the auto out is always coming up in big spots

No doubt, he’s a good pitcher … but I don’t consider him great

Yes, he had one great season … but overall he’s very good

Good riddance … I like Ortiz & the potential I see in Hall

I really never cared for Burnes and he is definitely a whiner….but:

Top 8 in Cy Young voting with a #1 finish in the last 4 years. I mean…that’s elite. Even this year his ERA is barely above 2.00 out of the gate.

I don’t know if he gives me ‘elite in mid 30s vibes’, but dude has been pretty darn good.

Today is the first time Murphy put out one of those odd lineups similar to what Counsell has done for the past few years on Sunday afternoons

Chourio has been pretty darn rough lately, guessing they are wanting to give him a break. Struggling rookie against Burnes? Would have been another 3+ K day for him.

Rough enough Wiemer was a better option? Maybe not…but part of it is the bigger picture. Riding Chourio into failure just because he is the less sucky of the two isn’t exactly a recipe for long term success.

I know you’re right … but good news - he did NOT beat the Brewers today!

The O’s may win the game but Burnes will NOT get the win … & that is priceless.

It’s the way they have done things for years; position players called up to the major league roster are almost always in the lineup the very next game.
