Do we have any ideas on who is starting, Freddie/callup, Wilson? Our bullpen is definitely not in shape to have a bullpen day, My guess is Wilson, he hasn't pitched since last Wednesday (3 ip, 42 pitches) maybe we make a roster move and get a fresh AAA arm. Koenig looked good the past 2 days but will need a couple days and Megill seems ready. Hopefully no DL for Miley

Think they will rely on Wilson and Hudson to eat the bulk of the innings today. Hopefully we can get some runs early.

Johnny Wholestaff making an appearance before the day off tomorrow.

Pretty sure they pitched yesterday as well.

So Wilson 3/4, Tobias 3/4, with Hudson and Payamps to finish.

Any idea why Jake Bauers keeps hitting 3 or 4. He has had a couple big hit but I don't get it, I would much rather have basically anyone in today's lineup hit 3 hole over him today.

My guess is because he looks like Pat Murphy when Pat Murphy was a young man.  🤔

Is Freddy Peralta hurt or something?  Why is he not starting today?

Brewers haven't pitched guys on four days rest in years.

Listened to Murphy's press conference yesterday and in short Murphy's response was did you see how well Peralta pitched last start on longer rest. So maybe that is the plan all year for Peralta.

Because Freddy rarely pitches on 4 days rest.

I think that's their plan with pitchers in general, as noted above.

Maybe it's cause I watch Brewers baseball mainly but I've never seen a team hit into double plays like this one does.

After the GIDP in the 2nd inning we have 10 on the season which is tied for 6th fewest in the MLB.

Game 17 and we are starting Bryce Wilson.

Our pitching situation is what one might call "dire".

This really shouldn't surprise anyone.

We went into the season with 2 guys we knew we could get 5 or 6 innings from each start in Peralta and Rea.  All the rest were a crap shoot.  If Miley was healthy, you might be able to say we had 3 guys we could count on, but Miley is Miley, and the odds of him being or getting hurt are always high.

We really didn't do anything in the off season to address the rotation, as far as getting someone that we knew could eat some innings per start.

So here we are.

We are here because of injuries not because of short starts. Miley started on IL and got hurt yesterday. Gasser started on the IL. Junis hit the IL. Ashby hasn't fully returned from his shoulder surgery. Plus we aren't throwing our pitchers on 4 days rest.
