I love all four of Milwaukee’s current uniforms - my favorite is the road grays

I’m not as big a fan of the alternate Brew Crew unis

I wish they would bring back those fabulous baby blues from the 70’s & 80’s

The only person that could say these are nice jerseys is someone that has fond memories of the 70/80s.

In actuality they are hideous by today’s standards and even in retrospect they aren’t that nice.

You may not like the city connect jerseys, but they are to attract the future of MLB viewership.

I find it interesting to think current/future viewers are being wooed by uniform styles. MLB teams have so much history going for themselves. Drastic changes to softball feel like uniforms is beneath them, imo.

I’m not a fan of powder blue, but at least there is some history there with great Brewers teams.

I disagree, I love the powder blues and not just for the Brewers, many teams have brought back powder blue alternates for their current uniforms and they all look amazing, Cardinals, Rangers, Royals, Blue Jays.

If the Brewers made an alternate uniform based off of this shirsey it would easily be the best of their current uniforms:

I don't see how this is possible in a civilized society.

The Brewers' road grays are very good compared to other teams', but road grays are horrible in general.

If they went with a blue I would prefer something like this.  Just replace the white stripe with a shade of yellow or gold.  Not sure on the text though but maybe a darker blue.

Those are snazzy … but I’m thinking something more similar to this one 😉

#1 They did bring back powder blues, just because it is modern versus 50 years old is a different story.

#2 Updating a classic design is a lot different than bringing back the hideous sleeves and V neck.

Im not exactly a huge fan of the city connect jerseys, but they have a purpose selling to younger generations.

The only thing worse than clinging to these old powder blues is people who were a teens in the 90s and think the uniforms in the 90s were cool (arguably one of the worst baseball logos/uniforms in history).

I really don't know anyone which liked the Greenies

There have been a very select few over the years that have mentioned liking them and wishing for an alt. I’m sure they live off of BrewerFanatic too. You pretty much gotta have that be your childhood to like I would imagine.

In my full hearted opinion the Brewers returned the absolute only thing in their history worth bringing back (ball glove logo). The rest can just kindly stay in the history book minus a one-off appearance here and there. Maybe this uniform can return for senior citizen day.

I’m a little sad the retro Friday jerseys are gone though. Those felt a little more timeless.

I have no memory of the 1970s, just stories of my Dad's glory days.

I had some very vague memories of the late 80s, but the Brewers are in pinstripes in them.

These are my favorite jersey and I've bought this color for most of my Brewers merch...so no, those are not the only people who could say these are nice jerseys (though I'd say they're awesome, not nice, so might be splitting hairs here).

I’ll go there. I liked the 90s uniforms they wore at the end of the County Stadium era. They had piping, a throw back font style, an M on the hat and Milwaukee across the front of the road unis.

That being said the Brewers have a branding problem: numerous different uniform styles, color schemes, mascots over the last 30 years. You cant have a heritage when you don’t know who you are.

Why are the Yankees, Boston and Cub hats/unis etc iconic - because they haven’t changed them much at all in generations.

Those teams are also incredibly older. The Brewers aren’t that old of a franchise in the grand scheme.

At some point it is a 55 year old MLB franchise. It didn’t exist when Babe Ruth and Co were playing. Heck, it barely existed for Hank Aaron’s playing days. Those iconic uniforms are partially because they have never changed, but also the fact the franchises date back to the dawn of the dinosaurs.

The 90s uniforms were a mistake, whether they looked good or not. Either way they almost surely change them anyway in 2000 when they moved stadiums. Major refreshes that close together left a lot to be desired.

On the bright side the logo is probably here to stay until the franchise moves or MLB baseball ends in a zombie apocalypse.

Just like on those shirt jerseys I think the current uniform could of a power blue alternate if they wanted, it would look good if done right.

I'm not a fan of the City Connects, but we aren't the target market for those. It's kids and the "casual fans" who all think they look great. Look around next time you're at a game and how many people have on the MKE hats and the Brew Crew jerseys. It's probably close to the #1 seller I bet in sales.

Me and probably most of us on here are a little more hardcore, and baseball purists and prefer the traditional uniforms. I'm boring and love a team's road grays the best with the city name on them. That's always been my favorite. It makes me sad seeing  a few teams phase out their road grays because of the Nike 4 jerseys only rule they have now.

Agreed on the late 90s version of the uniforms, that was the best version of that set and doesn't get as much love as it should since they only had them for a couple seasons...and the team wasn't that great then either. Gold M on the road caps and white M on the home caps was a good look. I think they removed the green by then on the uniforms as well or it was much reduced compared to 1994-1997. I still have a couple of those jerseys and proudly wear them to games and get a lot of compliments from random fans. I always think it's the sign of a true fan seeing a 1998 Brewers jersey.

I have fond memories of the 70s/80s and think these are among the ugliest uniforms ever.
