I think that’s why when I was a kid we used to say “The faster they come in the faster they go,out”,

Sanchez just laid his bat on that ball and watched it go.

Chapman night be a candidate for a DFA soon.

I don't get the smile from Chapman after giving up that dinger. Dude, blowing a game ain't funny. Pirates fans can't feel too great about that.

Now we’ll see how the relievers bounce back about 18 hours after their high stress innings last night.

The Brewers are pretty clearly in “closer by Committee” mode right now. It’s going to depend in part on situations and in part on who is available.

I've got the Pirates feed on MLB.TV - Sanchez was his catcher when together for NYY. He had never faced him as a hitter. Still doesn't really explain the smile, but they do know each other, apparently.

Not a great send, but with 2 outs I get it. If that flyout was the first out of the inning I think he would have held him. Ortiz just did not get it deep enough.

I confess that I was hoping they'd send him. Alas. Didn't work.

You're basically choosing whether there's a better shot of a slightly offline throw or missed tag, or the next guy coming through with 2 out. It's pretty much a wash for me.
