Murphy should just get it out of the way and get ejected when the lineup cards are exchanged.

That’s what I thought too. Ask the crew right away how they plan on screwing us over today.

Is there a way to make a poll on here so we can vote on how it will happen?

I see Black is thrown right out there at 1B. Fingers crossed; you knew it would happen at some point. Looking at his history I see Bauers has played a little more OF than I realized, which is good to know given the makeup of the roster right now.

I feel better about Chourios' recent ABs & was all ready to predict a nice, productive day for him today. Oh well.........

SWEET JESUS - Murphy suspended 2 games, PERALTA 5 games!!!!! Uribe 6 games

WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My reaction to these:

Murphy: Silly, but how much difference does it really make.

Peralta: can appeal for a reduction, but as a practical matter with the Brewers 6 day rotation all that might do is delay a start one day.

Uribe: Can appeal and get a reduction, but he deserves at least a few days.

Peralta is ridiculous but as BruisedCrew said, might only delay his start by a day. Uribe doesn't surprise me.

Did Siri get anything?

Murphy going for the series ejection sweep, not sure I have seen that before.

He's probably glad that he doesn't have to deal with this umpiring crew again today.

I suppose re: Peralta but he shouldn't have gotten anything.

Siri got 3 games.

Ramirez of the Mets got 3 games for throwing behind Hoskins, but he’s a RP. I think 5 games is pretty much a minimum for a starter.

Because Freddy isn't playing during the appeal process, will these games retroactively count towards his suspension? If not feels like appealing was a pretty silly move.

They’re talking about this now and saying Peralta will just miss one start and Levering is saying that for the Brewers that would be a big deal.

But all they would have to do is have him start a game, then drop the appeal and have him start 6 games later.

They do have an off day tomorrow so the 5 games would take it through next Monday.

I would have him make his normal start Monday (or maybe Sunday against the Cubs) then drop the appeal and have him start again 6 days later.

I can't imagine the appeal process will take a week.

Is it just me or are they missing some cameras on today’s telecast. It seems like there have been a lot of wide range shots, especially on balls hit to the outfield.

Five games really equals one for a starting pitcher, but dumb to suspend Freddy at all.  The umpire should be suspended for causing the entire thing to escalate.

Uribe is probably four on appeal.

I think they used to take longer but I see now that the process has to be done within 48 hours.

So, maybe what they’ll do is get it reduced a day or two and it will net out the same with Peralta starting next Tuesday.

My recollection is that these things usually take a while. Am I making this up, or are appeals often heard when the team is NY or Philly or Boston or something? I feel like I remember guys getting appeals heard when their teams travel near the league office. Obviously, Zoom changes all that, but I'm not sure it's actually expedited things...

The Rays runner on first on that DP just peeled off instead of trying to block the relay throw

That’s what I thought too but it appears that the latest collective bargaining agreement changed that.

It always seemed pretty weird to me, so makes sense. Also makes me realize the Brewers don't seem to have a suspension thing happening much recently. Maybe that was one area where Murphy and CC disagreed (partly blue).
