Bet he homers next at bat.

Or rolls over a 2-0 pitch at his ankles.

0 for 9 from a veteran that we absolutely had to have show up in the playoffs.

There's no way I can be convinced that Slappy McFrelick is a better lineup option against a lefty than Mitchell.

Honestly, they probably are pretty interchangeable. Frelick doesn’t K that much versus lefties…Mitchell is dang near 50%.

Id much rather start the guy likely to put the ball in play and stash the MUCH more valuable PHer for later in the game.

Especially after last night’s heroics, it’s just plain ridiculous.

Do umpires even call leaning into pitches anymore?  Winker dropped his elbow in order to get hit.  This is the second time the Mets have done this in the series.

The batter must attempt to get out of the way. He didn't.

Lol, I'm not sure what these last two hitters were looking for on 0-2, but they weren't looking for strikes.

Myers tunnels his pitches extremely well. Look slider and by the team you realize it's a FB on the edge it's too late to swing.

I think this is a pretty good rationalization.

He leaned into it if anything. It was obvious and I was hoping they'd call it but of course they almost never do.

Yes when he is getting enough spin on that FB it looks like a slider.  In September for awhile it looked like he hit a wall and his FB wasn't spinning the way it was previously.  Good to see he has found it again in this game.

Don’t even think about pulling Tobias Mr Murphy.

I have zero problem if Murphy pulls Tobias here. He gets hit harder the third time through the order, and Lindor is already 2/2 against him.
