I think this is a great spot for it and thank you. This is always a list I try to dig up at some point every spring.

Is there a resource that let's us know how many NRI make the big league team every year? I feel like we have to be high on the list of "most" or "most often".

Much like the Packers and UFAs ... if you are a fringe guy looking for an opportunity - specifically bullpen guys, I feel like Milwaukee has proven to give those guys every chance to prove themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see another one or two outfielders signed. Right now the other outfield options at triple-A and double-A include: two guys who could theoretically be competing for one 40-man spot depending upon how the offseason goes, a top prospect who MIGHT be shifted to the outfield (and also could end up in the big leagues), a second baseman, a shortstop, a guy plucked out of the independent leagues midseason last year and an intriguing prospect who, given his youth, might be better served by starting out again in Wisconsin. Each of these guys individually have things to like, but it definitely feels like some more depth could help in roster construction.

I'm with everyone else. The Deivi Garcia signing is not your normal minor league free agent pickup. His minor league numbers are very intriguing, and it's easy to explain-away his difficulties the last couple of seasons -- becoming a swingman/reliever, being waived and not picked up, going to... the White Sox.

I'm probably as excited as one can be about a minor league free agent.

Also, this excitement has EVERYTHING to do with the Brewers recent success with pitching. If the 2001 Brewers pick this guy up, he probably gets worse.

158 career MLB innings with a 5.57 ERA and 5.68 FIP but a 4.37 xFIP which means the model thinks his home run rate has been flukily high.

Nothing too special at AAA this past year with 76 IP of 4.34 ERA and 4.10 FIP.

His last time in MLB (13 innings in 2023) he put up a non-descript 4.73 ERA and 4.53 FIP, but his 3.61 xERA and 3.34 xFIP again implied he was possibly the victim of some bad luck in there.

Steamer really likes him with a 3.76 ERA projection for 2025, looks like the Brewers computers and scouts were similarly intrigued.

1B Jake Bauers, C Ramon Rodriguez and C David Garcia also have non-roster invitations to MLB camp.

There are 19 players listed on the Brewers’ website, with Bukauskas making it 20.

Just got to hope either Black becomes a competent defender or Martinez hits well enough they can’t keep him in triple-A for long.
