Re: SI joint pain.

Exactly as that article describes - the SI joint is really where your torso meets you lower body. Often times SI pain can be called "sciatic pain" and there is some overlap.

PT and rest can be the most helpful, as long as other things are being ruled out (like insufficiency fractures, or other injury to bone/muscles, and disk injury to the lower back).

So hopefully Adamczewski can get some rest, PT and get back to swinging soon. Good luck Josh.

Biloxi Press Release:

PEEK PROMOTED FROM HIGH-A, CRUZ TRANSFERRED TO HIGH-A PRIOR TO SHUCKERS SERIES OPENER

BILOXI, MS – The Biloxi Shuckers and Milwaukee Brewers have announced that RHP Stiven Cruz has been transferred to High-A Wisconsin and RHP Zach Peek has been promoted from High-A Wisconsin. The active roster stands at 26 players. Peek will wear No. 17.

Across 17 appearances and 24.0 innings with High-A Wisconsin, Peek held a 3.00 ERA with 30 strikeouts and nine walks. Peek was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2019 Draft by the Los Angeles Angels out of Winthrop. Peek joined the Brewers organization this past offseason after being selected in the Minor League Phase of the 2024 Rule 5 Draft from the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Along these lines it looks like there was one other move involving a pitcher moving to High-A

Yuppers.

Noted HERE by @wiguy94. But, it never hurts to share again in case anyone missed it.

Bishop Letson was placed on Wisconsin's 7-Day IL

Thus the resulting Sam Garcia move.  Makes sense in a "it sucks" way.

Wow. It was really bad post TJ but kind of shocked they gave up on him that quickly.

Just unimaginable to lose Smith, Gardner and Shears from our arsenal in such a short time.

Undrafted FA so nothing invested in him, two weeks short of 26 years old still in A-ball, post-TJ, and I'm guessing that the little we saw in games was just a microcosm of what they saw in practice.  He walked 42 in 49 innings with 13 wild pitches and 11 hit batters in 2023 as a 24-year old, so the control and command was never really there.

1B/LF Tyler Black sent back to ACL Brewers on a rehab assignment (not sure what happened there)

RHP Ayendy Bravo is headed stateside. Promoted from DSL Brewers Blue to ACL Brewers.

Spencer called that Bravo promotion in the new podcast. Rare to move up midseason from DSL.

Add to that pile of ACL starters, along with Hayden Robinson apparently.

Carolina Press Release:

RHP Jack Hostetler placed on 7-day IL as of 6/5

The Mudcats roster is currently at 26 active players and 4 on the injured list.

***

Considering the A-Ball levels are allowed to roster 30 (AA and AAA 28), the Mudcats are running lean. As noted above, Ayendy Bravo will boost that to 27 once official.

From @Joseph Zarr in Wednesday night's Link Report:

"The real story in this one will likely be RHP Jack Hostetler leaving early. He left immediately after a change-up ran low and away arm side. He was seen flexing his hand and you could also tell it was a problem immediately. This is yet another tough injury pill to swallow for us Fanatics. We can hope for the best here. It just did not look like a good situation. He exited after 1 2/3 IP of 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 2 ER work. It stings in multiple ways. Hostetler just worked back from injury. He is an upside starter. He has a legitimate five pitch mix where he can attack every part of the zone in different ways. Baseball gods, I beg of you: Can we have nice things? Please? We soldier on. All the best Mr. Hostetler."

I’m sure I missed it but what is the latest on Carlos Rodriguez’s health? After the heroic big league game where he returned after a two hour rain delay, he was pulled in his next AAA start. I haven’t seen anything about his injury or prognosis.

They put him on the 7 Day IL, but I don't believe there's been any news on the specific injury.

Hopefully, it has nothing to do with going back in to pitch after that 2 hour delay, but that really seemed stupid at the time...
