I know the ultimate goal is winning a WS and all of us really long for that. But I have to appreciate the culture of winning the Brewers have created.

Here are the number of days each team led their division since 2020.

I saw this on Twitter. It's days leading the division since 2020.

I'd be curious what the numbers would be if they had extended it to 2019, because on this list both the top team and the bottom team have a World Series title in the last five years.

Speaks at least to some extent to the randomness of baseball and baseball playoffs.

Yeah, from 2012-19 the Nationals won the second most games in MLB, were over .500 every season, and made the playoffs five times.

Even with all that success and a Top Ten payroll most of those seasons, they were bounced in the NLDS their first four postseason trips before finally breaking through and winning the World Series in 2019. And they needed a fair share of luck just to get out of the Wild Card game that year as we all remember too well.

Since then it's all fallen apart. Five straight losing seasons en route to the tying the Rockies for the fewest wins in the 2020's plus the Mets, Braves and Phillies more or less guaranteeing them another 4th or 5th place division finish this year.

Answering my own question, it looks like WSN lost the first two games of 2019 and never as much as tied for the division lead that year.

So, if it were extended one year to 2019, both the top and bottom teams on the list would have won a World Series during that time.

The NL Central has been pretty bad for a while now, so it wasn't very difficult to do. We still get bounced from the playoffs right away, pretty much every year.

Yes, I did this on my phone and didn't realize the description wasn't part of the graphic. Sorry about the confusion.  Edited the OP now.

The one thing to note is the #29 Tigers won a playoff series last year. I didn't look it up, but I feel the last time the Brewers won a playoff series was in 2018.

Edit: I don't want this to read like a salty post. I do like the Brewers direction and enjoy the regular season success.

That would be an interesting graphic:

When is the last time all teams have won a playoff series.  Not a game, but a series...

2021: ATL, BOS

2020: TBR, OAK, MIA

2019: WAS, STL

2018: MIL

Wow! Two NL central division members at the bottom of the list. Both were back when the Brewers were still in the AL.

Especially the 1979 for the Pirates, I feel like 30 years of behind home plate season tickets isn't worth the taxes one would pay on it.
