It is becoming very obvious the biggest issue the Brewers have is pitching and the pitchers on IR.  Let's see how Cortez does tonight. If he blows it again, it's time to admit we got scammed.  Let's do our best to get Woody, Meyers, and our other pitchers back off of IR.

Uggg that is not what the word scammed means.

I see Reddit vocabulary has infested this place.  Next thing someone is going to call a baseball sexist because it has ball in the name.  Or that the foul pole is fascist because it determines if something is fair or foul.

There are plenty of subreddits that you can follow that won't make you upset. Most that I follow call out stupid caged political talk for what it is and do a good job policing themselves.

For the record, the Brewers subreddit isn't anything like you describe, but I rarely make posts there. 

To OPs point.. yup, the Brewers need their pitchers to get healthy. I'm surprised this point hasn't been made yet. 😄

Scammed?  C'mon.

Let's do our best to get Woody and Myers off the IR?  You think the Brewers aren't doing their 100% absolute best to get them back on the field?  How can "we"  as a message board contribute?  Geez.  They simply can't be rushed.

Scam means to cheat or defraud. I think the trade appeared to be fair at the time and likely still is. I doubt any medical information was withheld.

All of my subreddits are mostly tech related.  It is annoying seeing everything labeled as fascist or a scam.

I love Woody but I can't believe we gave him $17.5m if we knew this was his injury return timeline. 100 innings of 4.00 era is probably about the best case projection right now. 3.xx era may be possible but I don't see it year 1 after injury and rust.

Lot of unknowns back then and lot of unknowns still remaining. Hard to fully inspect the deal without it completely in the rearview. 

If he throws well this year upon return and we are in the driver's seat to retain him moving forward, would the extra cash be worth keeping him beyond this year? 

A lot left to play out..

Agree 100%, they cannot be rushed because almost 7 months of baseball to go and rushing a pitcher from injury is counter productive.  On the other hand we may be in big trouble if we are short pitchers for a full month and dig ourselves into a hole. The Brewers seem to be in this exact same predicament every season.

But they can offer him a QO after the season and get a draft pick when he signs elsewhere in the off season.
The reality with MLB starting pitching is with Woodruff‘s career to date, even 100 innings and a 4.00 ERA most likely means he’s getting a multiyear deal as a free agent. (Walker Buehler 2 years/46 million is a similar example).
 

So the Brewers are getting SP depth, potential front of the rotation production in ‘25, and a likely comp pick in ‘26 for their money is sharp.
