George Webb officially getting nervous

Every time the Brewers put together a winning streak, George Webb gets incredible attention & is on everyone’s mind - such a fun story over the years!

I thought the 6th & 7th were kinda the biggest keys to the game. Zastryzny had to deal with a couple RH PH & got the job done, & Koenig hasn't been pristine but got through the top 3rd of the order, although walking Lux & falling behind De La Cruz from the right side was a no-no. After that I thought we pretty much had 'em by the hairs as long as Uribe & Megill worked from ahead.

No highlight plays at 3B but Monasterio had a solid game pretty much all-around. Contreras needs to take a breather either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Seemed like a real opportunity to open things up a little bit, but a couple Cincy RHP's that have been vulnerable actually threw the ball well. Annoying.😐.

So now Hall & Ashby should be next up vs a team that you really need LH bullpen availability against.

Civale settling in after the 1st time through was also vital.

A day like tomorrow is where having Ashby and Hall back in the pen is a huge bonus. Maybe it doesn't end up mattering but with likely all 3 of Koenig, Uribe, Megill down we will have Ashby, Hall, Zastryzny, Anderson, Mears available out of the pen compared to earlier in the year where we would have had like Alexander, Hudson, Payamps, Mears, Anderson

It wouldn't shock me if he was available tomorrow as well. Pretty low-stress 9th tonite.

I'd be pretty surprised if any of Megill, Koenig, Uribe were available with all 3 pitching back to backs. With the bullpen being much stronger, we really shouldn't be pushing any relievers to go 3 days in a row. Especially so a huge body, high effort guy like Megill.

You may very well be correct; but Megill would be the one most likely to usurp that IMO. If he sat I certainly would be OK with it.

The other two should absolutely take a day off.

Another win with not much offense.

Except for the first two games in Philly the offense has been more timely and opportunistic than proficient  Those two games account for about half the hits and half of the runs scored without benefit of a free runner during the 8 game streak

of course, compared to the Polar stretch of a few weeks ago, 3 runs is like an explosion

Civale better pitch well.  It’s aggravating that Henderson lost his spot

"He was sent down to get rest", Murphy said. “They’re just not machines, these young kids need rest when there velocity starts dropping. We have to preserve as many of these young guys as we can. To preserve them, the best thing is to keep these guys built up but not under high stress.”
