Four HR and .790 OPS the past two weeks and now we decide to let Joey regroup?

Here is the explanation

Hopefully having Monasterio at SS won’t cost runs in the field. Can’t afford to give extra outs to the league’s most potent offense.

Andrew Vaughn is awful, and I am not overly happy having him start two days in a row (since I presume he starts against Kershaw tomorrow). I also am not in favor of benching Joey despite his bases-loaded struggles. Hopefully, both moves pan out somehow, but I don't have high hopes.

Because they collectively bargained and agreed upon terms with the Players Union.

Ding, ding, ding.

Not to start a whole sidebar issue, but I've always felt that whenever there's a labor dispute the media seems to lean towards the players & management has been extremely sensitive to any resulting criticism.

Of course that goes back many, many years. It's not like today, where the game is being run by Ohtani & Judge😛.

You are never breaking the players union to get a salary cap.   You can scream at mlb all you want but the players will sit out for as long as they have too

Makes sense. He did take some bad pitches recently. I feel like he is playing the best he has all season though.

Typical Pat Murphy move 😬

I think I’m glad Murphy has defined a level of performance that is unacceptable. Just seems like strange timing doing it during Joey’s best month.

Murphy is so inconsistent with his approach to teaching his players lessons.

He needs to use that same approach with Contreras if Ortiz is being benched to work on his swing.

Murphy needs to remember that these are major league players … grown men … not college students. They don’t need a father figure to punish them.

He gives me very few reasons to like him. I’m not a fan of Murphy.

If Matt Arnold used this approach with Murphy for his consistently poor pitching change decisions, he would be unemployed

He doesn't have the balls to do that to Contreras.  Hell, he doesn't have the balls to rest him through setting records last season or his finger injury this season.

Why is there Japanese writing behind home plate?

Dodgers get a ton of extra money due to Japanese sponsors for Ohtani
