A first baseman who actually hits like a first baseman.    I didn’t think the brewers were allowed to have that

Wouldn't it be nuts if he hit about 20 bombs between now and the end of the season.

If needed I hope Murph remembers Easton McGee is a corporeal being capable of throwing baseballs

I was told Vaughn was sh*t

He was never as bad as people were portraying him as.  He’s been a slightly below average first baseman in his career yes, but still a legit MLB player.  He was just getting expensive in arbitration and had a terrible start on a terrible team this year.

You're right. I just looked at his career numbers and they're really not bad at all.

Yeah I mean he was *terrible* for the White Sox this year, and has been great for us, both things can be true.

You guys are right though, his career numbers aren’t awesome, but they’re not indicative of 2025.

He was once a highly touted prospect. Not that I would expect it, but not impossible or unheard of to see guys be late bloomers or succeed with a change of scenery.

Durbin had a really bad May……other than that……not bad at all

1.8 War before tonight…….

He would definitely be in the top 4 or 5 in Rookie of Year race as of now.

Perfect roll of the dice trade with upside ……trading an expiring contract from a position of strength……..Arnold is the man.

Vaughn actually has a better xwOBA than Hoskins this year and that was before tonight where it will be going up again. He was just one of the unluckiest hitters in MLB this year when he was on the Sox

It’s definitely a testament to the MLB scouting that they had their eye on a guy and were able to make a trade for someone they believed in before Civale’s vocal cords stopped vibrating.
