This year's draft will once again feature 20 rounds, albeit with a notable twist: it will last just two days, meaning a change to the existing format. Rounds one to three will be covered on day one, and rounds four through twenty will be squeezed into a long day two.

Round one usually holds the most intrigue, and it will be fascinating to see how the Brewers approach their day one picks. Do they attempt to spread their bonus pool around? Will they splurge on high school talent in the first round? Will there be another surprise on day one to rival their Braylon Payne pick in 2024? Tune in to find out!

Where Can I Watch Day One Of The 2025 MLB Draft?
Day One begins at 6 p.m. Eastern Time and can be viewed on MLB.com, MLB Network, and ESPN.

How Many Picks Do The Brewers Have on Day One of The 2025 MLB Draft?
The Milwaukee Brewers have five picks on the first day of the draft, picking 20th (1st Round), 32nd (Compensation Pick Free Agency - Willy Adames), 59th (2nd Round), 68th (Compensation for Chris Levonas in 2024), and 94th (3rd Round) overall on day one.

What Is The Milwaukee Brewers' Bonus Pool in The 2025 MLB Draft?
The Brewers have $13,138,100 in their slot value for the draft, which, despite trading the 33rd pick to the Boston Red Sox in the Quinn Priester trade, leaves them with the 10th largest bonus pool overall.

How Can I Keep Up To Date With The Milwaukee Brewers Draft Picks?
We have our very own draft tracker that we will endeavor to update as quickly as possible with news of each selection, not only through the draft but also through the entire signing period, so make sure to come back for updates!

There will be lots going on on what should be a particularly busy night for the Milwaukee Brewers. Having shown a penchant for left-field selections and high upside talent in recent drafts, it promises to be an exciting evening, and we will try to make updates to the story (and add links) as things happen, so keep refreshing!

This is the place to be for tonight's draft. Still, suppose you'd like some additional content. In that case, we have the fabulous Jeremy Nygaard and Jamie Cameron on a live stream here, dissecting picks as they come through in a comprehensive analysis running through the night.

The draft will continue on Monday, starting from 11.30 a.m. Eastern Time for the Brewers selections in rounds four through twenty. Buckle up!

So draft day is finally here everyone. Who are our favourite (reasonable) picks for the first two rounds? Have we any one we don't want to see in Brewers uniform?

For me, I'd love to see upside more than anything. We've seen that in every first round pick since 2022, and as such I'm a little wary of the Caden Bodine's and Marek Houston's of the world, despite their defensive pedigree

I don't follow the MLB draft nearly as much as the NFL, so I can't reasonably say who I would like.  I'm with you, give me tools.  Give me top of the draft hit, fastball, power, something big.  Jace Laviollette keeps standing out to me as an option.  Easy to hope on enough contact to make that power dangerous.  With the way the Brewers draft, I'm fully in I believe mode and can't wait to see who we tab.

I've posted my predictions for today's picks on the draft page so I won't rehash them here. I've likened the Brewers drafting strategy to being value shoppers.  They're shoe closet doesn't have one pair of Air Jordan's and fifteen pairs of Crocs.  They put a price value on each player and then draft whoever is available at the price they are willing to spend on each round.  This works very well for them, and I don't expect it to change anytime soon.  This means we likely won't be drafting high ceiling, high risk HS arms early.

Regardless who they draft, I will cheer each player on as they make their way through the minors.

I'd like a college bat early, preferably OF. Jace Leviolette is target #1 for me, it seems like a dozen or so guys have past month or so at least the experts have been mentioning lots of risers. I also really like Kruz Schoolcraft and Jake Bauer.

We have the Final BA Mock Draft propositions for the Crew's 1st Rd:

Quote

20. Brewers — Caden Bodine, C, Coastal Carolina

Why He’s The Pick: Bodine is gaining helium as we approach the draft because there’s not much to pick apart with his profile beyond power. There’s a real chance he doesn’t get to the Brewers now, but I still think they’re one of the likelier landing spots for him on draft day.

What They Are Getting: Bodine has some of the best bat-to-ball skills in the 2025 class. He’s also a polished defensive catcher who is viewed as one of the best receivers in the country. His lone question mark is centered entirely on how much power he will have.

Other Names We’re Hearing: Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M; Marek Houston, SS, Wake Forest; Xavier Neyens, 3B, Mount Vernon (Wash.) HS; Luke Stevenson, C, North Carolina; Steele Hall, SS, Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.) HS; Gavin Fien, 3B, Great Oak HS, Temecula, Calif.

Dart Throw Names For Later Rounds: Cam Leiter, RHP, Florida State; Noah Yoder, RHP, Atlee HS, Mechanicsville, Va.; Trey Meyers , OF, New Trier HS, Winnetka, Ill.; Caedmon Parker, RHP, TCU; Dylan Watts, RHP, Auburn

For the whole First Rd sheboing you'll find the link of BA'a main page (sub req'd).

Think the Levonas pick will be super safe and open up bonus room. I need to be talked into Bodine. I do not see anything special there and would be extremely disappointed. Given the likely savings at 68.

Y’all ready to see us pick someone nobody has predicted?

I've enjoyed seeing people try to guess who we will pick under the assumption nobody is going to get it right again.

It's really cool when people spoil picks well before they are announced. Joe Doyle leaked the Rockies pick before the Mariners pick was announced.

There are definitely ways to justify the pick, but it does kind of feel like the Angels are just leaning into it at this point.

Knowing the Angels, they probably shut their scouting department down in February.

Crazy that Hernandez is almost 4 months older than Ethan Dorchies who has 43.1 professional IP and currently is rocking a 1.66 ERA with a 32% K-rate in A ball.
