What a horrid outing by Mears.  Wasn't even competitive on a lot of the pitches he threw and then had to come in with a meatball that was set on a tee.  Brutal

Mears has been awful his last few outings 

Peralta - as talented as he is - should be able to go six innings 

A bullpen meltdown here today impacts the weekend & potentially the Cubs series

Freddy and Misiorowski (by design) are the only two to not go 6 since the break

Mears getting hammered is solely on our manager. He has pitched FAR too much. A High leverage bullpen arm is probably our single most glaring need due to the overuse of Uribe and Mears

He had thrown a total of 25 pitches since 7/12. His velo was good. He just didn’t execute
