The way I remember that, when it came to the end of the season Cooper was offered the opportunity to play in one of the final home games but he declined.

I don’t want to jinx anything, but by this time next week, several more teams will likely be eliminated from catching the Brewers - Cards, Reds, D-backs, & Gigantes. Possibly the Metropolitans, too,
