Yeah, those two high strikes were bad and impactful. I guess good news is the Giants had a starter go 4 and needed 2 relievers to get through 5 in game 1 of a 3-game series.

Unfortunately when you have a poor umpire, as most are these days, who continues to call the strike zone incorrectly, the pitcher can keep working the part of the zone that’s being called wrong, and Vaughn is forced to keep chasing it, resulting in ABs like that.

I try not to do it but this is ridiculous.  Ump took the bat out of Vaughn's hands and just ended Quintana's night because his zone isn't consistent.
