So his opinion on it is only valid if he gambled money on it ??

For real, or just funnin' ??

The original comment he made suggested he'd put money down on it.

Hopefully no jinx here but Ashby being better than ever has been huge. Wondering if he gets another shot at starting next year.

I get Hader vibes from him, and wonder if that multi inning fireman reliever is his best role longterm.

He has been exceptional

Offense might want to wake up.

I wouldn’t bet on this game ending 6-5.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Any chance of just getting 2 more innings out of Ashby?

I doubt it, particularly after the DBacks managed to foul off enough pitches that they got his count into the mid-20s that inning.  No idea how they made as much contact as they did.

Personally I think multi-inning relief weapon is his best role because I don't think his command can hold up as a SP unless he improves it.

He just looks like a closer. Especially when rocking the glasses.

Vaughn’s bat going cold at the worst possible time just about guarantees that we’re about to get a lot more Jake Bauers in the lineup again.

He just about smashed his bat into the ground on that pop out.

Mears worries me a little more than Ashby, if I'm being honest. I just feel like he's more susceptible to the long ball.

He's definitely given up his share.

Man, I really hope Ashby can be a starter in this league. Nasty stuff.

I agree, but he needs to lose them glasses.

Who does he think he is, Speed Racer ??
