I’m not going to scroll ahead to,see if anyone else addressed this, but the answer is that the run is charged to the pitcher who put the original runner on base.

Interesting! Thanks.

It is the nature of sarcasm.

It’s ironic that posters who complain about the board being clogged up with negative comments clog it up further with their “witty” sarcasm.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Also another game where we don’t have endless pages about ball and strike calls.    Thumbs up to everybody

The umpire sucked again today so many bad calls.  The MLB has a serious umpire problem.  Hopefully the challenge system is implemented next year.  You don't want to have a referee problem in your sport and MLB is starting to go down that route.  They fixed the games taking too long and now they need to fix this problem and quickly.

I do hope Murphy noticed that Durbin hit a home run against a RHP.

Of course, it is unlikely that Durbin would have tied or won the game if he had hit yesterday, but I would rather have a hitter who has a fighting chance for a home run or double over someone who has yet to record an XBH in the major leagues.

Seems worse this year.

And in most cases in the eye of the deliverer more than the receiver.

Interesting Brewers lineup. I can't really make sense of the Turang-Frelick flip flopping in the order lately. Also really surprised that Lockridge isn't out there against a LHP after a really strong offensive game yesterday.

Yeah, whatever the reason I'd like to know what it is. Frelick on top & Turang lower seemed to be something they've settled into. Now----??

Umpiring behind the plate is a real challenge but my biggest beef is their inconsistency.  Don't change your strike zone as the game gows on.  If your zone stinks at least keep it in one area!

Good news is that would have been an all time crushing blow after numerous others.     They held on.   But they need some damn confidence.

The Brewers have plenty of confidence, some of their fans…not so much.

Did anyone else notice in some of Ashbys' recent outings the problem he had throwing to bases on batted balls or pickoffs? I wondered if opponents would be on top of that & sure enough, the first three hitters he faced at least had the thought of laying one down. In the future it might be an issue when you combine it with Durbin at 3B having to rely much more on the quick release than arm strength.

As for Durbin, yeah, it's time. Give him a day every six games or so if he needs it but other than that the job needs to be his.

I think the Brewers gave up the 5-run inning on purpose, so the tack-on run in the 8th inning wouldn't be deemed meaningless.

Winning season secured on August 25.  Something that once eluded us for 14 consecutive seasons.

I definitely remember the days of August/September when we lingered mid-pack or worse and the stadium was empty.

The only positive was cheap tickets in really good seats.

Actually they don’t have as much as they had for sure.   You can tell it in the interviews, the way they act in the field etc.    it sure hasn’t looked like as much fun for them.    Especially pissing your pants every ninth inning.     They just need win like three games in a row and they will be fine

they know blowing a nine game lead is pretty much a legendary choke.

Nobody is calling on him to close but pitch a 7th inning with a lead? You trusting him or McGee?

The chances of Yoho getting important innings (say 6th or 7th), in 2025, is next to zero. It would take multiples of IL stints and/or meltdowns. But the chances of that happening with McGee are even less. So you leave Yoho where he is & give him regular work., in the role he's succeeded in throughout most of his pro career. You don't want him coming up here & sitting. McGee you don't mind doing that to.

Once Packers started spring training or maybe pre-season games, focus switched.
