I'm not sure I would have sent Woody back out.

We're probably better off he gets some length today and save the bullpen for the Phillies tomorrow.

Never mind, he's out. Need some length from Myers now.

and woody did nothing to pause my concern today.    Another half a garbage performance.   Well.   We got more out if him this year than I thought

Recognizing that there was bad defense and luck at play today, there was always going to be regression with Woodruff that we've been seeing the past few outings.

I still think he can be a decent and effective pitcher, but hard to maintain elite or very good status throwing 92 mph in the modern MLB with average offspeed offerings.

I know people have the excuses ready but you can't say "he pitched great except the bad parts".  He hasn't been good lately.

Yeah I think it’ll be a good afternoon for errands after all—and if I come back to a win, it will be a lovely surprise.

But I’ll leave the house thinking this: as someone who’s done a lot of teaching and a fair bit of coaching and parenting, this is what I like to call a “your crap still stinks” day. Doesn’t do anything good for your blood pressure, but it does wonders for your ability to remind your pupils that if they are going to get where we all want to go, it’s going to still take a lot more focus and intelligence than they showed today.

Murphy was a might too late pulling Woody today. We might have to relook at our playoff starters minus Woodruff.

Quintana isn’t really the greatest option either.    It is what it is.  Maybe miz matures out of nowhere

Like it or not, Woody is starting a playoff game.

They better figure something out fast or it will be another one and done.

He might get hurt too.   Don’t be too sure.   One thing about brewers pitchers is they don’t really like to pitch a whole season

I think he went by Matos in the last series.
