A man on second and third (instead of first and second) with one out improves the odds of scoring drastically.

I wonder if the pitch clock has had any effect relative to shortening starters outings. 

The faster pace probably does take a bit more out of them

Jansen had a great pitch to bunt and he pushed it to 1st. They teach you to bunt to 3rd in in that situation in little league.
