If you just flipped the 2 games start times, the home teams would be playing at 5pm local time and 6pm local time instead of 3pm and 8pm on a weekday. But good point someone brought up about the Eagles game. Also, the poster talking about their kid at the breakfast table saying he can only watch 3 innings.  Are you that strict? Let your kid stay up to watch the game!

Another point. Baseball has done a great job shortening the time of games. Then they get in the national spotlight and add time to commercial breaks and every game is over 3 hours. Great promotion of the sport.

Lastly.  Boyd has a 9.00 lifetime ERA vs the Brewers and over a 4.50 ERA post AS break. Peralta has allowed more than 3 runs in only 4 of his 34 starts this year.

I am not that strict but we are on the east coast so it’s a 9 start time, he was exaggerating when he said it, but won’t be able to stay awake for the whole game and probably fall asleep watching it. He is only 9.

Murphy knows what he's doing, he didn't set the lineup arbitrarily.  Will it work?  We'll soon find out.

I want this win today, bad.  I want to beat them in illinois in front of their fans.

I’m out for the night on the site*. I’m hoping that I can come in here tomorrow and read a really enjoyable game thread!

Because they only scored three runs, one of them aided by the sun, and they lost?

Yeah let’s be honest about the 3 runs yesterday — we earned 2, and 1 was a complete fluke.

I can’t help but feel that this series is going back to Milwaukee with the Cubs advancing.  Last year was awful.  This would be the most Brewers thing ever and I would bet money on it happening.  What a gross feeling.

Fandom really is a form of insanity.  The Brewers have thoroughly out played the Cubs for 2 of 3 games and nearly won a game where they had a disaster start.  Anything's possible, but if you asked a Cubs fan if they'd rather be in their position or the Brewers' they'd swap places in a heartbeat.

Also eastern TZ.
My 9yo fell asleep during the 3rd on Monday.
My 12yo made it to the 7th.

hopefully the crew puts up a lotta runs before they fall asleep.

I used to say that also but why switch up what worked all season long and hasn't worked since Yelich has been leading off? Make me wrong tonight Murphy. Dumb to switch up things just because its the playoffs with no new injuries. Come-on man!

I believe it boils down to getting Yelich back up to the plate (as well as Chourio, who I assume is hitting 2nd) ASAP in a close game. That's not to say I'm in favor of it, but that's the mindset.

I guess it's the offensive equivalent of using a closer early, or asking him to get five or six outs, in a playoff game. If 8 & 9 in the order can get on base like in the first two games it'll look a lot smarter.

Yelich led off yesterday, thus allowing him to be at the plate with 2 down in the 9th of a one-run game. Don't tell me you want more power,  but that you don't want him leading off.

Hope your not talking to me because I never said anything close to that.  Amazing how you make a statement like that and no one but you knows who your talkin about.
