Game 2: Mariners at Blue Jays; Monday, Oct. 13 (5:03 p.m. ET, FOX/FS1)
Game 3: Blue Jays at Mariners, Wednesday, Oct. 15 (TBD, FOX/FS1)
Game 4: Blue Jays at Mariners, Thursday, Oct. 16 (TBD, FOX/FS1)
Game 5: Blue Jays at Mariners, Friday, Oct. 17 (TBD, FOX/FS1)*
Game 6: Mariners at Blue Jays; Sunday, Oct. 19 (TBD, FOX/FS1)*
Game 7: Mariners at Blue Jays; Monday, Oct. 20 (TBD, FOX/FS1)*

Some consider Toronto the AL version of the Brewers given their contact heavy offense and success despite low expectations. Their splitter-heavy pitching staff gave the Yankees trouble.

Seattle is the only MLB team to never win a pennant. They have a power heavy offense and deep rotation, a formula that is optimal for winning at their home ballpark.

Both teams are known for their star power (Springer/Guerrero and Raleigh/Rodriguez) and both play very well at home.

On paper the Blue Jays are better positioned to take an upper hand early in the series with Seattle forced to scramble together pitching after using all three of their top starters in game 5 of the ALDS. But Seattle has an x-factor in all-star Bryan Woo, who is expected to make the roster and start in the middle of the series. Bo Bichette is officially out for Toronto

Prediction? Mariners in 7. In a long series the Mariners’ pitching advantage should eventually win out. But this will probably come down to which team gets the best performance out of their stars.

Mariners really bouncing back well. That pitching has been very, very good.

Really like both of these teams. Glad one of them will get to a WS.

I always find the schedule quirks a little funny. Basically, the ALCS will be two games in before we've even kicked off.

That was how I expected the Mariners to win at home, not in Toronto. The Jays have their work cut out for them now.

I think MLB would absolutely hate a Dodgers Mariners series and would prefer a Dodgers - Blue Jays, Brewers - Mariners or Brewers - Blue Jays.  Having all of the games in the west coast would be a nightmare for MLB.  Yes I know about the past series of all California teams.

Soooo.... Toronto is going to lose both home games to start the series?

Is this series over** already?

The Blue Jays are playing like they already won their World Series after beating the Yankees

At the risk of sending this well off track, I think an all-Pacific Time WS would be a logistics nightmare *for fans of those teams* (along with a general dream come true; I'm sure they can coexist).  MLB will get its prime time ratings regardless of how much fans have to contort their lives to attend those games.

I also had the knee-jerk reaction "OH NO WAY would MLB ever prefer the Brewers over the Dodgers in a WS." There are Faces of Baseball to promote.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

There are a LOT of complaints about start times out here. Tonight’s 5:30 pm start time is the latest that the Mariners have gotten so far in the playoffs. Tomorrow will either be the pivotal game to break a 2-2 tie or a potential pennant clincher and it starts at 3 pm.

I get that the eastern time zone opponent doesn’t want to start at 9 pm but it sucks from the perspective of not getting a super rowdy night game home crowd.

I think the Mariners are feeling pretty good tonight about their trade deadline acquisitions.

That was a pretty special moment. I was not at the game but my buddy texted me a video and it looked like pandemonium.

Bit bittersweet for me with what’s happening to the Brewers but the same fate likely awaits the AL winner.

People seem to have lost interest in the ALCs now that the Brewers are done.

After watching this entertaining series I have 2 very general predictions about the World Series, whether it’s the M’s or Jays

1. Even though both AL teams have good pitching. I don’t think they will hold the Dodgers to 15 runs in the first four games.

2. I don’t think the AL team will get swept. They both have lineups that look dramatically better than the playoff version of the Brewers. I’m picking the Dodgers in 6, but won’t be shocked if the AL team wins. They might put enough pressure on the Dodgers SP to enable them to take advantage of the bullpen

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

If that was a game winner that is a heart breaker for Seattle.  I don't know if I'm exactly rooting for them but I do have a soft spot for them since they haven't even made a world series before.  Feels like the Brewers of the AL.

Call me petty but I am 100% in for Toronto solely because of the 2014 NFCG and the Fail Mary, the latter of which I attended and got harassed endlessly walking out of the stadium. Seattle can pound sand and go 300 years without one.
