Have fun with a first place schedule and the realization you're going to have to start shedding veteran contracts this offseason to pay Williams on a roster that still needs a ton of help on defense, Bears fans.

At least you beat the Packers twice though - hang that banner!

The Wisconsin baseball team beat the Chicago baseball team and it was pretty much their championship and then they went on to lose to Los Angeles.

Can’t wait for all the Chicagoans rationalizing this as a moral victory. Take it from those who have been there about 25 times before: there is no moral victory. If your team gets this far, you had a chance to win a title, and every missed chance is a real loss. End of story.

That'll be the song of the summer. Things are "looking up." Just like they were for Jayden Daniels. The league will adjust to Williams, he'll fail because he's simply not, and never has been, an accurate passer. Right now it feels warm and fuzzy. They'll extend him and the fans will want him traded a year later.

For any Bears fans who are taking this as a moral victory and tHe fUtUrE iS bRiGhT, as a fan of the 2023-24 Green Bay Packers I regret to inform you that it is never that simple.

They won't have a +33 turnover differential next year. They play a 1st place schedule. Their coach is good at generating locker room bulletin board material. And they have a target on their backs. Good luck.

The Cardiac Pack had a bunch of comebacks too.

On other up and coming teams, even division rivals, I might tip my cap right now to a great season.

But after their little gloat fest last week, nah, eff them. I enjoyed this every bit as much as their cheese grating and locker room theatrics.

Quite the symmetry.

Maybe McVey should staple a bear skin to the wall in the locker room

I think it's more of an "act like you've been there before" approach....something the Bears organization has never had to worry about understanding.

To be clear, I wasn’t one of those offended by it or insisting that Ben Johnson “apologize”, that’s ridiculous. They won last week, they can celebrate as they like. It just makes tonight all the more enjoyable.

This is funny coming from fans of the Packers and cheering on Aaron Rodgers when he said he owned the Bears.  Where was this "act like you've been there before?"?  Silence from Packers fans.  Again Packers fans are the equivalent of the St. Louis Cardinals fans.  Always stating they are the righteous ones and know how the game is supposed to be played and the gate keepers of what you should do on the field and off the field all the while ignoring their own players and coaches who are doing the things they say not to do.

If you are upset over Johnson screaming F the packers then you are a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Sorry Bears, when your win probability is reduced to under 5% three times in six games, you're gonna lose at least one.

I didn't get excited over the winning FG because I thought for sure Johnson would TO just before the snap.  Oh, it's going to count?

I don't care about the locker room stuff. But I do think a handshake that's not a complete joke is a minimum requirement for both coaches.

Not after Johnson set the record for most failed 4th down conversions in playoff history.

After screaming F the Packers, he got too big for his own britches.

I didn't understand that either. He had three of them

I’m not mad, the guy won he can talk his stuff. But it reeks of some little bro energy. Rodgers was just giving it back to the fans in the moment, but has plenty of other times said how much he appreciates Chicago sports culture and history. I’m biased, but don’t really see the equivalency.

I mean, sure, if you’re Chicago, you definitely have to hate Rodgers. But how hard do you have to fake it to hate LaFleur or Love? Those two can’t inspire any strong negative feelings. It was such a bizarre move to come out from day one hating Matt LaFleur of all people. Did LaFleur buy Johnson’s mom a nice seafood dinner and never call her again? It’s just weird.

Not upset about it at all. Just makes today even more fun. Eff the Bears.

They were flipping him off lol at the exact moment he said it lmao.

They won their first playoff game in I don't know how long and haven't been to the Super Bowl in 40 years. They were running around last week like they won the Super Bowl after beating the Packers reserves in a game they choked away. Rather than just pour Gatorade on each other like anyone else they decided to bring the Packers into it again, then again the next day at the press conference.

I couldn't care less about him apologizing, but do all of that and expect the world to laugh when you lose. Johnson is a good football coach and a huge douche bag. He will learn the hard way that life in the NFL won't always be as easy as it was this year, winning every damn toss-up game in improbable ways and going +33 in the most turbulent stat in the sport. I'll enjoy his crash out thoroughly.

Rodgers literally gave it back to Bear fans f bombing him all game long and reminded them that he literally did own them in the heat of the moment.  Ben Johnson has to be related to PCA - I bet he blushes when someone tells him he's accomplished nothing at the NFL level worth a damn yet, either.

Its more about the Bears spearing Love, getting a 15 yard penalty on Nixon for choking him after a play, and then getting their panties in a bundle when Packer players were quoted saying they wanted the Bears in the playoffs - which was obvious to any rational football fan because they knew that was their best chance to win a road playoff game.

It's ok though - the amount of actual on-field success Bears fans have experienced since I was a toddler is so small, I can at least understand why they have no clue how to handle it.

Oh, and the Bears still suck

Caleb Williams yet again threw about 250 yards on 42 passes and completed his signature 54%. He made a couple nice plays with his feet and threw up that fluke prayer that should have never been caught. I will give him a break on the numbers last night due to the conditions except he added in 3 interceptions that were all terrible throws and failed to convert a bunch of 4th downs that is for some reason just being ignored.

Reading the headlines you would think he was masterful and the defense broke his heart or something. I cannot stand the worship of this guy. He is so ripe for a crash back to Earth but the coverage of him is as if we are seeing the next Pat Mahomes.

I can't imagine what the narrative on Jordan Love would be if he had a 2-game "playoff run" and threw 5 interceptions.

The Bears went -5 in differential in the playoffs. Didn't force one in either game and for all intents and purposes should have lost twice without the flukey nonsense that has trademarked their entire fraud of a year.

Yeah, oof. That remains our best shot out of the last 3 seasons, and as is common around these parts, they absolutely should have won the Divisional and they beat KC that regular season. It hurts in hindsight.
