First of all, I understand that as a guy in his mid 40’s these are not marketed towards me. But these are really bad. I did buy a grill logo polo of the last one.  Guess I can save 60 bucks on a new city connect polo once these come out.

Name one city connect jersey that isn't hideous.

i won’t say everyone is bad. The issue is that they are not marketed towards older fans. I couldn’t image a guy in his 40’’s wearing that jersey to a game.

I liked the previous iteration. These are terrible

Probably about half of them. The old Brewers one was widely regarded Top 10 even Top 5. Most of the leaked new ones for 2026 are pretty awesome (Orioles/Pirates).

But also…you are old so you won’t like any of them. Additionally, you are also probably not of the non age demographics these are targeted towards.

and note in response to you:

These suck and don’t even make sense. This uniform is everything city connect jerseys aren’t supposed to be. The cursive with the fat line underneath? That is such a weird choice.

I don't really have an opinion and my hot tkae is that I find it odd that people have strong opinions unless, of course, you look forward to buying City Connect gear each year.

Nothing says city connect like having the name of your state on the front.

and is Forward on the inside of the jersey?

Looks like an All-Star jersey with Wisco on the front. Doesn’t seem very city connect but they cant all be good. Hopefully they don’t try to force orange into the color scheme like the Bucks have tried to do with the color blue.

Forward is the state motto.

Which I think is why a state slang term is on the front, very much so trying to make it more so ‘state connect’ than city. Which I actually don’t think is a horrible idea as the Brewers are very much so a statewide supported team like the Packers are.

If that was the goal though, should have gotten the rights to use Udder Tuggers.

Wow that's really bad. I was curious to see what they'd do to replace the City Connect after making the road jersey powder blue, but this is much worse than I imagined.

Between age and gender, I know I'm far from the target audience for city connects.  But there is much to dislike here:

  • Orange?  I mean, maybe it looks red in person, but orange is about my least favorite color and I look awful wearing it. (Please don't let it be "orange like the cheese y'all are famous for")
  • Wisco? It's not Wisconsin Lutheran High School. I've never been a fan of either Wisco or Sconnie as nicknames.  If they're trying to rep the whole state, some kudos for that, but not like this.
  • You're going to incorporate a top tier state motto like FORWARD and then have it on the inside where it can't be seen?

For now I'm just going to hope this isn't it (literally. It already isn't "it" figuratively). If it does come to pass...will it last long if no one buys the merch? The first city connect was such a hit.

It has the foundation of a good idea...

I like the script but wish it said "Wisconsin" instead of "Wisco". Nobody who is actually from Wisconsin says Wisco as far as I know...if I wore that jersey in Seattle nobody would think it has anything to do with Wisconsin.

They had a chance to take the colors in a completely new direction but settled for generic yellow and blue. Personally I would have fully leaned into "Wisconsin" theme and done badger red. Make it look like a hypothetical UW-Madison baseball team jersey.

Who knows what the hat logo will be.

That’s the whole point isn’t it, to generate additional revenue from merchandise sales?

I am positive there is market research somewhere that shows teams will generate X amount of dollars from new uniform based merchandise; which is likely why the Brewers have 5 jerseys already and they continue to roll new ones every couple of years.

As you point out, the real question is if fans will be able to demonstrate restraint or if they’ll fall for the team’s ploy and buy it anyways because it’s new, etc.

I know the state motto. Lived here for many years. My point was that in the photo above, the word seems to appear on the inside of the jersey.

And I agree that I don't think anyone says Wisco. But, since Sconnie (another thing no one says) is trademarked, and Wisky is probably not good for the kids, they are trying to make fetch happen.

Oh yeah these things are massive for generating merch revenue especially with causal or even non baseball fans. I'm sure "Wisco" is aimed directly at that segment of the market. At least when I was at UW-Madison 20 years ago we called those people "coasties".

I think we need a higher-quality image here before I fully judge. The gradient on the Wisco font and numbers has me intrigued a bit, but it doesn't come through at all in this image. Definitely a downgrade to the Brew Crew ones, might grow on me. Not a fan of the orange name plate, but I guess if they are trying to play into some "blaze orange" hunting aspect.
