Sal might be out now, good thing they already brought lara up and didn't trade mitchell 🤣 but I swear to ***** if they bring up perkins.....

I imagine Perkins is the move because it is easy. Baddoo would be a nice guy to have now if he wasn't hurt :(

Quietly after a real slow start, Hurtubise had a really good June (.333/.419/.444) and a good start to July (.292/.414/.500). He is a lefty bat option. Would need a 40 man move, maybe Baddoo to the 60 day depending on his recovery (he is already nearing one month).

I hope the organization is taking a hard look at Miz's use the rest of the year. Since he is feeling arm fatigue, maybe it's better to keep him to six innings or a hard pitch count. Of course, fans will hate it when he's going well in a game and they have a win-for-me-right-now attitude. The organization and esp. Murph will be on the end of a lot of criticism. And of course Miz will not want to come out because he's such a competitor. The organization will need to sit down with him and help him understand why overuse can be detrimental to him and the club. But I think we have to look the entire second half of the season, and also at Miz's career overall. We do know of pitchers who burn out after a year or two.

Yeah, I thought about it after Frelick went down, and I suspect it'll be Perkins. I just don't see them going with a roster that would include a guy who apparently can't put on a glove & play defense (Yelich) & another one who I don't think they trust defensively (Black). Not to mention Vaughn, who only played somewhere other than 1B because he absolutely had to. Hurtubise would be a good 'upset pick' though. And Shewmake has never played the OF as a professional.

Agree 100% re Baddoo; this would be a perfect opportunity for him. His being out & Lockridge being gone this long is frustrating.

Could an effective opener for an inning or two factor in here? I'm not nuts on the idea of using an opener for Misiorowski, just spitballing.
