After sitting out yesterday’s doubleheader defeat in Columbus with an illness, SS Jesus Made (.805 OPS in 201 PAs) is back in AA Biloxi’s lineup. RHP Brett Wichrowski is 8th in the Southern League in Ks (47 in 41.2 IP), but has also surrendered the most homers (12).

RHP Tyson Hardin’s been solid through 2 AAA starts (1.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 in 12.2 IP) and now seeks to lead Nashville to a 2-1 home series lead over Gwinnett. LF Luis Matos has an 8-game hitting streak.

LHP Enderson Mercado struggled his last time out (5.1 IP, 7 R, 1 K), but aims to lead Low-A Wilson to a 2-1 series lead at Myrtle Beach. SS Brady Ebel has an 11-game hitting streak.

RHP Josh Knoth (2 IP, 1 R, 2 Ks last outing) and High-A Wisconsin strive to even their home series against Peoria. 3B Andrew Fischer has a 16-game on-base streak and has homered in 5 of his last 9 games.

I think it’s fair to say that Hardin likes AAA so far with another impressive stat line tonight.  6 IP, 2H, 1BB and 5 K.
‘And oh yeah Lara keeps hitting. Nashville up 2-0 heading to top of 9

Knoth had a good start with a couple of unearned runs and T-Rays up 4-2.  Fischer error led to the 2 unearned runs. I haven’t watched to see what happened.  Bitonti 2-2 with 2 XBH so far.

Hardin with another excellent start

Watching Hardin tonite, I was thinking how it looked like he was one of those guys where the ball gets on top of the hitter quickly & causes his FB to 'play up' a bit. Not 30 seconds later the play-by-play guy mentioned the same thing. How much longer before he's considered a member of the short list when Milwaukee needs a guy to come up for a start?

Handelfry with a 4-5 night. Warbirds up

crazy thing I get an alert on my phone an I read it as “Luis Pena with a solo HR” but it was “Luis Pino” and Peoria took the 5-4 lead. Ugh. I need new glasses

..........On only 80 pitches. Looked very solid. And Yoho is on a roll---ERA of zero in the month of May.

So much fun to watch Lara. You see him at the plate & it looks like the catcher can pick him up & put him in his back pocket. But he's got some pop, his OPS is .877-----from his WEAKER side-----and the speed & defense are simply game-changing, I likened it to 2022 when Frelick was hitting .370 or whatever it was for Nashville, but all things considered this is much more impressive.

What in the heck has gone wrong for 2026 RHP Travis Smith? These blow up outings are now a habit. 4 1/3 IP tonight 11 H, 2 BB, 1 WP, 1 HR, 4K, 9 ER. He is mired in a truly rough stretch as a 23 yo. Really feel for him - at the end of 2025 it had appeared he had figured some things out.

Luis Lara is batting .346. Not his OBP. His batting average.

Can we please find a spot for this man?

That sounds amazing until you look and see Luis Matos is hitting .351.

Matos: 37 ABs

Lara: 191 ABs

Edit: this is perhaps the worst website on mobile in the history of the internet holy **** lol. Tried 5x to post this and my phone overheated from all the pop ups and ads trying to load 😆

Feel like that happens if they are willing to move Frelick to the bench. I doubt they are going to add Lara to the 40 to be a bench guy on the big league squad.
