I wonder how many games we’ve gotten the whole Rattlers gang together (Pena, Ragsdale, Dinges, Fischer, Adamczewski, Payne, and Bitonti).

if I was the Brewers, I think Josh Adamczewski would be nearly untouchable in a trade. I just really, really believe he's going to be a good MLB hitter. I envision him being similar to the version of Bauers we are seeing this year.

Ragsdale is en fuego. 333/434/467 in May and he's 5 for 8 in June.

Jose Nova gave us a scoreless 3 K 9th frame , preserving the 10-4 'W', in a way only 2026 T-Rat Jose Nova can:

3 BB, 2 WP

Zesty!

Not arguing the talent that JA appears to have.  But I would think that if the Brewers have to give up a top-10 prospect or two to get impact major league talent, he would be one of the most expendable, simply because if he is limited to LF that is arguably the easiest position to find a quality bat.

In the OF he has LL ahead of him, Payne at the same level, Chourio isn't going anywhere for a long time, Frelick isn't a FA until 2030, and if Made/Pena/Pratt all make it then maybe Williams has to move to the OF.  You know JA's defense better than I do, but my guess is that all of those guys would be ahead of him defensively.  Knowing how the Brewers value defense, he would have to be markedly better at the plate to earn a starting spot over those guys.

As for DH, Yelich likely isn't going to be a FA until at least 2030. By 2030, JA will be on his last option year if that's how long it takes to find a spot for him.

Yeah I think everything you said makes a lot of sense (though I think Yelich is almost certainly a FA after 2028 and won't have the mutual option picked up) but I just really think Adamczewski might have a special bat. It wouldn't shock me at all if he becomes the best hitter out of the guys currently in the system. He really just seems like a complete hitter. Good contact rates, good chase rates, good power, good batted ball angles. Maybe that's less important if guys like Made and Pena can hit their potential but I really can't think of the last hitter to come through the system that was as complete as Adamczewski looks.
