Ok I guess. Even up one or tied these game threads are pessimistic. The Crew is up 7 in the loss column. Some poster predicted the Crew would go 4-14 into the break. I bet him a 500 record. Our fans in these threads are completely delusional.

It’s game thread specific. If you’ve been in the main threads pretty much everyone acknowledges that the Brewers are one of the best run organizations in baseball. Even the ones who think Murphy’s in game decisions are questionable mostly acknowledge that he’s the right fit for this team.

It's a shame you can't differentiate between baseball in June and baseball in October.

Hahaha, ok bro.

Please take a deep breath. They have 81 games to go until season’s end. It’s possible they may not even make the playoffs. If I were you I’d be most concerned with the upcoming 4 games with the Reds.

Um, ok? I am breathing just fine. I think it's highly unlikely they don't make the playoffs especially in this new NBA format. They are one of the best 5 teams in baseball. But that doesn't change the fact that they have two highly volatile guys in a CBC role that struggle with command and like to put runners on base. That will be fun watching them close a potential game with ATL, PHL or LAD.

And yeah, I'm not really concerned about the likes of the Reds. They could lose all 4 games but teams like that won't be their undoing.

How great is it that the Crew actually play October baseball almost every single season the last 10 years? We have fans that forget the 80s and 90s and most of the 2000s and 2010s. Despite payroll disparity a poster today said the GM should be held accountable! I asked twice what that means, nothing from that poster. Our fans on this site are brutal in the threads.

Look at the Reds game threads when the Crew swept them. It’s always a cesspool of negativity:

Some good news - Henderson’s rehab start went very, very well.

I wouldn’t wait long on him.

Yup. Call him up in 3-4 days when he’s ready to start.

Nice work Brewerfanatics!  This thread really blew up after Kuhnel did. :-)

Love it. This site needs more rational fans posting in the game threads. It’s normally negative comments. One of the best teams in baseball has posters asking for our GM to take accountability. Gotta love it.

Get rid of Kuhnel, only Uribe, Megill, Koenig, Ashby and Anderson left in the pen. Then upgrade from Anderson at the deadline and get rid of him.

I'm not even kidding. Pen can’t blow games if they’re not pitching.

Kuhnel was not very good today, obviously. But in other outings he has been serviceable to good. All pitchers have bad days. I have become a believer in the dark arts of the Brewers pitching coaches. Maybe they help Kuhnel find the his mojo. They've done it before. Maybe Kuhnel will help us eat up innings in less pressure situations.

He is a 31 year old journeyman that has not had a very good career and was just DFAed by the Athletics.

Chances are far greater that he won’t be on this roster by August.

Kuhnel as a Brewer has a FIP over 10 with a 19% K-rate and 14% BB-rate. He’s been objectively terrible. xERA and ERA are both over 6. SIERA is pushing 5. He’s thrown 44 pitches over the last two days and likely needs to be down a day or two when our pen is already stretched extremely thin. It would be incredibly shocking if he was still on the team tomorrow.

It'd be a lot better if they would have won more than 5 of their last 21 playoff games.  And fans are seeing the exact same things that have caused us to win only 5 of our last 21 playoff games and they would like to see some sort of sign from the team that they're actually trying to improve their odds instead of just adding a random bullpen arm that inevitably gets hurt or just plain sucks as our main add for the playoffs.

I agree 100%,  Does everyone know that the Brewers Record Today 50-31,  even after the loss yesterday is the most wins at the 1/2 way point in Brewers history.

I repeat, Brewers have the most wins at the 1/2 way point in Brewers history.  Chew on that for a moment all continual pessimists.

A Brewers franchise record for wins at the 1/2 way point.

This is a great era of Brewers baseball but this line of thinking doesn't hit quite as validly when MLB continues inching more toward the NBA by letting half of each league into the postseason. It's much, much easier to do now.

Yeah we would have made it anyway winning our division, but it's a completely natural progression for people to bore of simply making the playoffs and want to win once. There's nothing greedy or spoiled about it.

I still think they will win in this era. They will get lucky once if they keep getting chances. Miz can almost singlehandedly give them 2 or even 3 wins in a 7 gamer against any team. Much has been said about the hitting, I don't think it can get much better than it is. They absolutely need steadier bullpen arms though.

I agree this is a great time to be a brewers fan. Last night was difficult to watch that ending and khunel isn’t good enough but overall it’s been a great first half of the season

Losing to the Scrubs from ILL-inois brings extra angst.  I didn't see anything after the base hit to make it 4-1.  And then I go look at the box score last night and see the Brewers had as TBWS noted the bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the 10th.  Talk about taking multiple sucker punches.   Well, we got the Reds now and I kind of hope the Brewers go out and sweep.

Most annoying part of the series is the mental errors. The Brewers played terrible but if you look at the standings the Cubs only gained one game. PCA is gonna come crashing back to earth any day now and their rotation and bullpen is next level garbage. We need to be worried about STL if were worried about anyone.

It was a tough loss, but we were one base hit away from this being an entirely different conversation today.

I think he gets one more AAA start to get some length out of him.

Yeah, we need him, but rushing him won't be good either.

How superior of you.

A guy with 76 total posts on this site really has no business telling anyone how to post.

Since you seem new, the IGT thread is typically based on immediate reaction to what's going on during the game.  It's a hot-take fest, and that is really what's expected in this thread.

Some can't seem to handle that, and that's ok, those people just stay away.

In general, I think most of us here are pretty level headed outside of the IGT thread.

And guess what?  It's ok to question the manager, the GM and anyone else, that's part of being a fan.
