I don't mind Rom and I know McGee pitched last night - but McGee has been struggling down in AAA and I wonder when his roster spot will go to someone like Holub or Knehr or the like to give us another option. McGee has been passed up repeatedly now for the last 2+ months... if we can't bring him up, keep the wheel spinning?

The offense starting to sputter and we lose Woodruff for who knows how long, again.   I don't have a good feeling about how the games leading into the break are going to go.    And to top it all off I won't be able to watch this one today as it is on Peacock.

Good luck Brewers.

12 games straight with 8 more games until the AS break, expect 5 more wins, we will be just fine. Worst stretch of the year for Brewers.

Roll out a lineup of:

Sal

Chourio

Turang

Bill

Jake

Vaughn (DH)

Mitchell

Ortiz/Hamilton

Pratt

See what happens. Good balance. No Yelich. Sal lead off is a hot take.

People who wanted Yelich moved down in the order are getting their wish. Today he’s batting third against a left-handed pitcher.🙄

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I don’t know why you would “expect” five wins in these eight games.

If you told me right now that I could take five wins without playing the games, I would take it and run.

Yeah, I'd be happy with 4 the way we are playing right now.

But, but, but, he hit a homer yesterday...  He's good again!

Someone else mentioned it - if you have NBC Sports Network on your provider's list of channels, you can find it there. I have YTTV, and it's available.

It's going to take him more than 15 days, that's for sure.

I think it’s prudent to proceed on the assumption that Woodruff is done for the season. It took him the better part of two months to  recover and rehab the last time this happened and there’s no reason to think this time will be easier or that, if he does come back, he would last very long.

in the short term I wonder what his absence does for the rotation for these next 8 days. He was originally slated to pitch on Thursday.

Joe Ryan looks great against Yankees today. I believe he's the guy to go after as Woody replacement. That said Peralta meltdown has me interested in a return. Gotta be cheap of course but Hook can get him straightened out.

Yelich in the 3 spot against a lefty is so stupid.  Contreras on the bench too.  I get giving him days off but do it against a tough righty or something.

Literally one single AB is all it took for Murphy to decide Yelich belongs back in the lineup against tough lefties in a run producing spot.

I’m just totally lost as to what Murphy was even thinking today. You very nearly have to conclude that he thought Rodriguez is right handed.

He doesn’t have huge splits for his career but this season righties are hitting him far better than lefties,

No Contreras, and 5 lefties in the lineup including Hamilton who literally never starts against LHP. I’m utterly confused.
