I would disagree with that logic. If tomorrow is close, you don’t want to use Bryse. You’d be much more inclined to use Anderson for say the 5th before the A bullpen. Now, that would make it 3 days in a row for him.

You have Patrick, Ashby, Uribe and Megill tomorrow if the game is close.... plenty of A bullpen coverage.

You sure do. If you’re expecting a short start and the need for a long man, I’d prefer Anderson to bridge to the A bullpen over Bryse. We’re probably arguing about something that really doesn’t matter. But I think it’s more sensible to have your better pitcher available for a situation you may need him in, and not worry about the guy that you’re going to DFA when Hall is back in a week going back to back days.

That was only about the 25th time in the few games he has called that he mentioned that Pratt was looking for his first MLB HR. He had t eventually.

Man that fan missed an opportunity for AT LEAST a signed bat or something! I guess with entire bullpen focused on you hard to say "hold on a second".

Maybe he did what I would do in that situation.

Say I don’t want any merchandise or anything but would like to have a picture of me with the player handing him the ball.

Maybe they want the ball itself quickly to be able to authenticate it, but I  would think it would be easy enough to arrange a meeting like that.

If I got a player's first home run ball I would just say I'll give you this ball for a different ball and that would be the end of it.  I don't need to have an awkward meeting with a player or a bunch of different merchandise.  A ball for a ball is simple and fair.

Hopefully that Made rumor is true

I think it's Fischer.  He posted a sunglasses and something else emoji tweet and he retweeted Nesbitt who originally started the rumor mill.

Could be, but I think I’d be less excited (than if it was Made). Then again, the Brewers look pretty good on Pratt and Lara thus far.

pretty much an unlimited amount of young talent we could lockup in this organization.

Murphy: We probably would have let him go further if his delivery and his legs felt great and yeah, I think he was a little bit out of it, you know, the long layoff kind of affected his delivery and everything else.  I think it was important to notice that and get him out of there then.  Velo dropped.  Couldn't find the rhythm on his heater and went ,to, you know, all off speed stuff.  Think it was important we got him out of there.

Vaughn needs to be in the lineup. Yelich or Bauers need more rest

I was wondering if having Vaughn in the lineup both yesterday and today against RH SP is a preview of doing something like that. With another stretch of games on 17 straight days coming up it would be good to give most everyone at least a day or two off every week.

A lineup with Lara at the top and Vaughn  hitting like 7th could be productive.

I thought I read someone say the bat speed is back and it looks like it from what I have seen lately.

Impossible!  Yelich is our leadoff hitter, period.

He hit 4 balls hard in these two games.

Cubs down 4-0 in the first

Willie was wondering when the Cubs would play a good team.

Alrhough they are still several games under .500 the Tigers might qualify. They have the best record in the AL over the last several weeks.

Unfortunately  the Cubs won’t have to face Skubal or Mize. The Tigers are clinging to a 4-3 lead in the 8th after squandering a couple of good scoring chances

ETA just looked up to see a HR to make it 5-3
