He’s a dumb baseball player for a catcher though.

I realize you are just being emotional but if I may...

Career backup catchers and backup quarterbacks are the same thing. Their lack of elite talent is what keeps them as a backup... Their grasp of the game/position and ability to keep a clubhouse pointed straight is what keeps them in the league.

Sanchez playing 10 years in the league primarily as a backup is the only stat you need to know his value is not tied to his ability to hit opposite field singles.

Hate the challenges all you want and that is fine. Calling him dumb is misunderstanding the sport unfortunately.

I have zero interest in moving Pratt or Lara up in the batting order. No reason to put any extra or perceived pressure on them.

Lol, Sanchez over 1000 foul balls off the face mask will do that.  Ask Brett Farve.

He’s in the upper .000001% but n baseball talent in the world  and that’s why he’s in the league

He plays one of the toughest position in all of sports so there is a respect in that and I think you are conveying that above.   But I can parse out being a catcher to just being an overall dumb baseball player.   I’ve seen enough

to be honest I don’t even know how smart a catcher he is.   He seems to have a lot of disagreements over pitch calls on the field (but I would defer to Murphy on that.  I think he would have been jettisoned out of here on the quick with this young staff if he was bad)

A couple of things to remember about seeing empty seats on TV. First today was quite hot and humid, so a lot of people with seats in the sun might have moved to another location.

The empty sections were in the shade and were empty the whole game.
