Right, again, just saying if someone looks at it from a non-Brewers fan POV, he isn’t THAT magically special. Many similar prospects before him and many will come after him.

I’m not going to fault any Brewers fan for considering him untouchable because they don’t want to risk him becoming a superstar elsewhere. You could flip this around and most teams wouldn’t trade their stars or potential stars for Made. That’s just how it is.

There are not many similar prospects. There are very few teenaged switch hitters who have put up the numbers he has, specifically his batted ball data, and specifically almost always as the youngest player in his league.

If I got a dollar every time I heard ‘no one does this at this age’ or ‘youngest in the league’ I’d own the Brewers.

Make no mistake, he is a Top 5 prospect…and would be in any year’s list. However, he is not some generational prospect.

He isn’t getting traded though, so this argument is rather pointless.

On the Brewers, not a chance. However, he is most likely a generational prospect, jsut the reality.

No, you keep the potentially generational talent over the potentially very good talent.

Made could be a... Acuna Jr at SS type prospect.

Pena looks like a really-really good player, a .300/.380/.450 type guy who hits 15 HRs and steals 50 bags at 2B.

Could they be busts? Yeah... obviously. Pena much more likely than Made at this point.

The value Made has is very likely greater than any prospect the Brewers have ever had... so you'd need to get a player who matches that. There aren't many who are signed for whatever a 2027 season we have and then two more years over him.

I do understand the logic of trading the guy who has the higher value if you think they're comparable in terms of talent.

I think we'll be very happy we didn't trade Made or Pena in a couple years.
I just hope another team in our division doesn't have a top 10 prospect the next few years... one they got for very little.

So... in other words, THAT many people have told you how ridiculous it is what Made is going at 19 in AA and yet you're still like, 'meh, he's good, but nothing special.'

I look forward to this picture being inserted. It's as much of a sure thing as the salmon returning to Capistrano.

No, that comment wasn’t exclusive to Made. People say that about prospects all that time. That was the point of the comment. But alas, I never said Made wasn’t special. Actually, pretty sure one of my most recent comments was him being a true Top 5 prospect any years list.

I guess if that isn’t special, then you may be right.

People are talking about "how young" Jett Williams is to explain away his underwhelming year.

Ok... well, show me the guys who've performed like he has in AA at his age?

If you have heard this so much about so many players... who? What have they done? Lets see some examples of how his performance at AA as an 18-year-old who just turned 19 has performed like this?

If it's such a silly statement that you hear it ALL the time.... I'd be curious to see who else it's been erroneously used on. It's provide some context that'd be helpful.

Again, you are being specific to Made and that comment was never specific to Made. Those same phrases are used for endless prospects every single year. Sometimes referencing people in A+, sometimes in AAA. Whether it actually translates to them over performing at every stop till they are an MLB star is a different question.

Who do YOU specifically think he was talking about?

Oh... wait, you DO know because this was VERY specifically... about Made. Literally EVERY step of the way.

You're very specifically talking about Made.

How was this NOT specifically about Made?

I’m not going to keep arguing with you. I literally just told you those references weren’t to specifically Made only. Nor was it in reference specifically to 19 year olds in AA. Just simply they are very common ways prospects are described/hyped all the time. The use of those phrases have been used for decades. If you’ve followed prospects a bunch, you’d kn
