And that feels like ballgame. Offense is offensive and Sproat can’t be trusted to limit the damage. Have to belief better options exist to start. Miz, Harrison, Drohan, May, Henderson, heck Gasser. We’ve all seen more than enough of Sproat. He does not have it.

I guess  we can’t expect the Brewers to be competitive right after or right before long flights.

Hopefully this isn’t going to be a repeat of the post deadline collapse of 2022. The Pirates started that one too.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

May I ask what your deal with BA is? In fact I see a lot of people here constantly blasting the Brewers radio and TV guys. Is it REALLY that big of a deal to you?

I dont have a problem with either the TV or radio guys generally.  I dont like Dillard doing games at all but hes fine on the postgame show.  That said.  Sproat is clearly starting to fall apart, we've all seen it before.  He gets behind in the count and throws a fastball right down the middle.  BA is amazed by it and saying he has "ace stuff".  It was a little ridiculous, not only because it was a poorly placed pitch, but also because I think we could all see what was coming.

Sproat sucks but our 1B defense is a major issue. Vaughn had a horrible stretch on the Lowe single. A good stretch and he's probably out. Then on the Horowitz bases clearing double Vaughn is playing deep and shaded towards the line and he got beat down the line. Just cannot happen. He gets a glove on it even just keeping it on the infield and not getting the out and it's a 1-0 game not 3-0.

He did almost a full split on the stretch.  What else did you want him to do?  And the double was a rocket right down the line.  It got on him immediately.  No 1st baseman is getting to that.

You don’t often hear Brewers fans booing, but they deserve it tonight.

See ya in 2027 Sproat

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

That ball that Contreras reached up for and had go off his glove after lazily lifting his glove and then lazily going after it is not going to quiet down the noise that he doesn't give a **** because he looked like he didn't give a single **** there.

I'm telling you all, this has the feel of a second half collapse coming up. I sensed it yesterday, with how lackluster they were. You can all believe it or not, but I said it at the time, and we'll see how it ends up, but not getting Skubal really deflated this team. Similar to what happened when they traded Hader then collapsed.

If they collapse it's because their offense doesn't pull their head out of their ass and they stop getting lucky winning these 3-2 and 4-3 games that they keep falling behind by a couple runs in.

Contreras tells Stallings to go to 1st while leaving home when their best chance of an out is at home.  He needs to sit with Yelich and Chourio for a while.
