PCA does a lot for the Cubs. You basically have to bring in a lefty to face him, but then that lefty usually has to face Suzuki and Bregman too.

Great job from Romero to get through there.

Frelick trying to get a big hit. Swung himself out of a walk.

His swing mechanics are significantly different from early in his career and not in a good way.

Cubs better watch out. Phillies and Padres both won again and are catching up to the Cubs fast

I think I will scamper over to Cubs Reddit … last night I stayed up two hours reading post after the game.

I was on Reddit, watched ReKap and other post-game Cubs shows.

This is how rough it is over in the Cubs bullpen. Thielbar was their 10th inning, leverage reliever last night. He's now warming to appear in the 7th, while his team faces a potential 7-run deficit.

I think CC likes Rolison as a leverage lefty, but after that? It's tough to find a guy to trust out there. They're just throwing stuff at the wall and hoping to record outs.

So, is the lead big enough that it is Sproat proof?

Yep...

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Kaplan is such a meatball clown - I hope for his family's sake his on-air persona is what it is to get better ratings from that fanbase to earn bigger paychecks, but I don't think his family is that lucky.

I would say. He should've started the year in AAA to begin with. Pretty solid inning.
