Exactly lmao. Kyle Harrison? I’m sure they’re saving Gasser for tomorrow

DId you not advocate for starting Harrison in the playoffs?

Who would you have started Einstein? Bobby "gopher ball" Gasser who throws all of 94 on a good day?

Henderson throws 94 too. Is pure velocity really the ceiling of your knowledge?

Seems like most of the frustration is on not removing May from the game vs against May himself, but, ya know, contrarians need to contrary.

And it's the Padres on the road.

They're not going to shut them out.

May:

Single, SB, Sac Bunt, GO, Single, SB, Single

Padres are literally the Brewers this series

If not May, who else would you rather have starting? Gasser? Then who goes tomorrow? The main leverage relievers can’t throw every night

Whats wrong with a bullpen day.  You have Drohan, Harrison and Patrick ready.

Dude gives up 3 hits and 2 walks in 3 innings and you’re here to make excuses for him,

May has had a zillion chances to show some value to this team. If Woodruff is healthy enough to replace him for the NLCS, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

If only there was a middle ground between a shutout and getting pulled after 3 because you are clearly fading.

Whoops, I mentioned Bill twice but meant Chourio, Contreras and Yelich. Chourio has been the top guy, of course.

Yeah, I probably should have recognized that myself!

Okay and what if Gasser gets into trouble tomorrow? The rotation is thin outside of Miz and Henderson right now

They actually can. You had a day off yesterday and another one coming Thursday if the series goes back home. It’s the playoffs. There’s a lot of bullpenning. You really think everyone isn’t available tonight?

You can go full bullpen for Game 4.

Starting May is a defensible decision. I thought after seeing him hit 99, the plan was to have him only go 2 or 3. Having him give up 2 runs, which still were pretty hard fought runs, wasn't the end of the world. When he gave up that moonshot I was certain he wasn't coming back out. Comes out and looks wild as hell. It was just dumb.

That said, this forum's steadfast defense of an awful pitcher who joined the team well past his prime and did nothing but suck is honestly incredible. I'd expect this treatment of like a washed up Yovani Gallardo, but the inability of some to just admit he's been an absolute flop is completely mystifying. He absolutely shouldn't be on an LCS roster if there is one.

They just had an off day.  They aren't hurting for pitchers.
