Next year should be wild. The leap he made in becoming a "pitcher" this year was already crazy. Now imagine him making his non-fastballs better and having confidence to throw them more.

Seems obvious (to me) that hitters are fouling more off because while his fastball is amazing, it's still just a fastball and pros can catch up to them if they know they are coming. Hone those other pitches and it's GOAT time.

Skubal is pretty incredible. Turang probably swung at Ball 4, but I will take it as a good sign that he put together a pretty good AB and did not look overmatched.
