I actually think it's kind of funny how they are praising our ability to do the little things, make contact, etc., when we struck out a ton and only scored two runs.

While I'll probably croak if this happens, I would be happy winning every game 2-1.

Only 2 runs, but the D was solid, and the senond run was scored in archaic fashion with the sacrifice bunt.

Playoff baseball is different than regular season baseball. Lots of games with very few runs, so defense and mistakes can be game changers.

Brewers pitching has been incredibly good & consistent. We’ve only allowed 11 runs in 5 playoff games. Amazing!

Brewers beat Skubal tonight … the player who didn’t want to play in Milwaukee. If both Henderson (whom the Tigers wanted in the trade)  & May (the player acquired at the trade deadline) win, Arnold will look like a genius.

I wanted Skubal, but wouldn't have given up Henderson either.  So I agree with Arnold.  I didnt (don't) agree with the May trade,  but would love for him to prove me wrong the next two series.

Am I forgetting some comment from Skubal to that effect? He didn't have choice where he went.

I’m taking up nail-biting as a hobby the rest of the way. Great win - it’s so hard to shut down opponents in October.

This offense owes the pen 20 runs or more over the next three games.

And, I got my wish- a Turang interview where he sounded like a complete Brewer player- HR, great D, win, explain…repeat.

There are 2 teams that play this style of baseball so it is uncommon for them.  The other team that plays like we do had the best record by far in the AL (Rays).

I didn’t hear him say he didn’t want to play in Milwaukee but a few days before he was traded he talked about wanting to play with the Dodgers

Misiorowski didn’t pitch enough to get a win, but the team got a win in his start. Figure that winning the NLCS likely requires winning two of the Misiorowski starts (Skubal matchups). Got one on the ledger.

Game 2 is about as big as Game 1. Need a similar to better start from Henderson. Hall and Uribe should be well available for back-to-backs; Megill also usable. Might think about having Ashby down, if Murphy allows it. Still haven’t used Drohan or Patrick, so bullpen length should be fine. Dream scenario is to get a win without needing the elite late inning relievers.

True or not, I don't care.   Im rolling with he didn't want to be here and took the L because of it.  He'd rather play in LA than win a championship.

Just got home from the game. The energy was incredible.

So was Brice freaking Turang. That is all.

If Turang doesn’t make that unbelievable play on 1st hitter of the night, we likely lose.

Really good play on the double play Hall induced out of Freeman too. Played it off to the left, spun towards the outfield and went to second. Most guys just take the out at first on that
