I really don't get some of Cash's moves here. There are potentially 2 games left in their season and he's holding back his big guns for some reason.

Add to that the Chandler Simpson batting 3rd decision and I am really scratching my head.

Caminero bats 4th like it's 1995. Did they not see us win a playoff game because Chourio bats 1st? And then they found themselves in the exact same situation against Ashby where it could have been Caminero up with the game on the line.

i don't think caminero batting fourth is that egregious. The three guys hitting in front of him are all studs too.

I have a hard time seeing Chandler Simpson as a stud hitter... Sure he is a 300 hitter, but only has an OBP of 330.  And only slugs .050 more than his BA.  If I'm going to put Caminero behind another batter, he better be on base more than 35% of the time. They'd better off with Hicks in that spot if you must bat Caminero clean up.

Cash might've looked at his bottom three in the order, seen how the Brewers pitching has performed & decided he didn't want Caminero coming up with few if any runners on base. Now, it didn't really work out that way in the 9th inning of game 2, but I could understand the mindset.

Caminero has been hitting 3rd regularly since late June, so hitting him 4th behind Simpson could certainly be questioned.
