A very disappointing manner to lose this game, for sure, and  I'm sure the Crew is bummed.

The key will be to flush this one completely and go get them tomorrow night

Maybe the inning looks different if they get Caminero but I think Murphy still goes and gets Senzatela and Drohan gave up 4 hits without recording an out, so hard to say what happens but it's not like Drohan came in and got an out or two.  He pitched poorly.

Drohan hasnt hasn't been all that sharp lately.

We never recorded an out. We let a guy on a base then proceeded to get shelled repeatedly.

Yes and that was due to Ortiz's error, which is what my post was about. So I'm not sure exactly what the argument is here.

Ok... whatever. Shake this off. We need to win ONE of the next 3 games with Mis, Henderson and Gasser going...

They have.... Matz tomorrow, then Rasmussen and Peralta.

We the ball hard REPEATEDLY.... just ran out of arms. Also, would have stuck with Senzatela and IF we had to, picked Harrison over Drohan, but... it'll take ONE more day to end the drought.

Miz has been shaken up early in all of his starts. I don't know why he is everyone's surefire answer there especially if we're considering after there's a guy on base. If he lets an inherited runner score, we lose, he can't start Game 5 and possibly 6 that is a decision that sends Murphy to the guillotine. We can't pretend like that was a reasonable decision to make with a 3-0 lead. You consider that at 3-2 with him slated to start Game 7. There's no way any responsible manager throws Miz out there tonight.

I rather lose with Miz and your best arm twice than try to close it with Drohan

Absolutely.  And if he loses it he can come back later in the series If needed.   So damn stupid

What I just don't understand about this tonight, is when you have marathon games and you take the lead you don't put your best pitcher in there to close it out???? Are you serious Murph, Yamamoto did it last year in 2018 Chris Sale closed it out but nope we put in that absolute bum in Drohan?? Come on now

Feel like Murphy's short sighted pitching management earlier in the game came back to bite us in the 12th. Only using JoJo for 3 outs and only using Megill for 1 out both in tie game scenarios.

I hope they do.

As fun as it would be to celebrate at home I have no desire to see the series go back to Milwaukee and be one loss away from a deciding elimination game.

We will see what happens now.     Three outs away from World Series and they blew it.      Sometimes teams don’t recover.    Isn’t that what happened in the Red Sox Yankees.

I see your back with your positive takes.

Pretty sure most people meant you start the inning with Miz.

That we didn't get any of the next 4 guys out either so I'm not convinced Ortiz really did much.

Not going to sleep well tonight, we see it every year in playoffs when the clinch is there you put in your ace. Not even looking forward to tomorrows game, have that sinking feeling. Gah!!

Do you honestly believe the Rays will now win 3 more in a row?

Worst case is he throws like 20 pitches and if he gives up a run you go with Drohan and he pitches game 6

Tonight‘s game is an example of why I wasn’t thrilled to see Woodruff on the roster.

This was my argument.... but I STILL think we see Drohan there. For some reason, Murph trusts him more than Harrison.

If told you a week ago we were going to try to clinch a WS title with Drohan in a one run game you would have laughed.

Which is how the result of it was, laughable.

Gutsy Murphy with his bullpen pitchers and then laid a turd tonight when it mattered. Pitch Miz and if it doesn’t work just push him back to Game 6. Always an excuse why he can’t pitch one inning to win the World Series or why he can’t pitch on the road or he needs an extra days rest. Most babied Cy Young pitcher ever.

I think we are all pissed tonight. It was right there.

But no team has ever done what we tried to do tonight, win 9 playoff games in a row.

I tend to be a pessimist but I still have faith we win this series even with all the doubts swimming in my head. We have outplayed the Rays every single game, even tonight. They got so lucky so many times.

Yes and it still would have been reckless.

One inning?  Nope. You go for the kill shot when you have it. You don’t punt a WS clinching game

It would be very unlikely but you can’t squander opportunities like this.   That’s a deflating of a loss as there is.  3 outs from winning the World Series and you absolutely choke it away.
