6/24/2004 - Rockies (Cook) @ Brewers (Sheets)

Big Ben tries to lead the Crew to its fifth straight winning series.

If the Brewers are patient at the plate today, they will score a ton of runs. Aaron Cook, while he throws hard, walks quite a few people

Lefties vs. Cook:

2004: .333/418/.590, 1.007 OPS

Last three years: .332/.411/.471, .882 OPS

If Ben Grieve doesn't start today, he should pull a Jon Rauch and just leave the stadium.

You'd think our lefty-stacked lineup would fare rather well today.

Would've been nice to have Sheets out there going for the "3 game winning streak," but 8-4 would still be great. Can't scoff at going from 1-over to 5-over on a homestand.

Grieve's in the line-up today. Appears Ned has broken one of his own rules: it is illegal to start Ben Grieve against lefties.

swinging bunt by Gint. Guess that's better than a liner at someone

I hope this Cook dude doesn't settle down. Sounds like he's getting ripped and getting lucky.

EDIT: If you were to read that out of context you'd think this guy was single, drunk, and scoring with the ladies on a regular basis.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I was really ticked when I turned on the TV, and saw a darts tournament being shown instead of the game, but then I was strangely drawn to the competition.

Don't worry though, I'm back to listening to the game. temporary insanity.

I was just looking at the Rockie OF Burnitz in center and Sweeney in LF???? An old Walker in RF. Put the ball in the air, and keep running.
