Need Recommendation - Romantic Getaway Milwaukee Area

Help. The places I take my wife for our anniversary each year in Cedarburg are booked up. Does anyone know of a nice place within an hour radius of Milwaukee that I can surprise her with? A whirlpool or fireplace would be a huge plus.

sybaris... lol
You know..everyone always makes fun of Sybaris. I have never been there, but a private pool? In your room? Sounds cool to me. However, I would hope that they have a ton of chemicals in the pools.

I can't escape the thought that some lady died at Sybaris. I would think the whole time it was in my pool, would make me feel gross.

Thanks for the recommendations. We've been to the Osthaff and have enjoyed it.

Okay, just ruled out Sybaris...

They list this as a rate (no need to say anything else):

Afternoons - 7 Days a Week

12:30 PM - 4:30 PM

$69.00

Heidl House is great, American Club too. How about taking the Ferry across the big pond to the West Coast of Michigan. You will not be disappointed.

I am going here next week in Lake Geneva. Seemed like a nice place for the price. Rooms include a hot tub and fireplace as well as many other amenities like bathrobes, candles, a bottle of champagne, etc. They have both an Inn or a bed and breakfast. I will be staying at the Inn.

Yeah, I just saw that place, but they seem to be requiring a two-night stay to include a Saturday. Hope you enjoy it.

A woman dying there would be the least of my worries. Only way I'm jumping in one of those pools is with a full body condom on!

Kohler for sure. You can do the Carriage House which would get her discounts on spa services and what not.

And definitely, definitely do the Sunday brunch in the Wisconsin Room.

I concur (especially about the Sunday brunch! best ever)
