Per the JS blog. On the way home I heard Bill Michaels say it was going to be done and recovery would be 4 months.

Edited so nobody else will misread and have an aneurysm - MSC.

"He was removed from the rotation and assigned to the bullpen in August after the Brewers lost 16 consecutive games in which he started." -- Haudricourt

Must...repeat...same phrase...incessantly...lack of research effort...provides nothing else to talk about...

Am I reading the article on Brewers.com correctly? I seems to indicate that his labrum was partially torn when we traded for him.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

the only thing the torn labrum in his right shoulder wold hamper is his ability to do stupid things like dive forr balls...it was a non-issue baseball wise, all though it's probably bugging him when he tries to get something off the top shelf at the grocery store..

I am not to worried because it is his non pitching arm. I would still have to question not getting it taken care of sooner since, I believe, if something is partially torn it will most likley at some point tear all the way. What if he had torn it the rest of the way in the middle of the season?(please no jokes about how it wouldn't have mattered this year since he pitched so poorly)

Jeez, moderators please put "non-throwing shoulder" in the thread title!

EDIT: Well, nevermind. I'm an idiot and skipper right over the word "right". Just assumed the worst.

I wonder how he actually hurt it. This could limit the possibility he is traded at the winter meetings, but again it's his non-throwing shoulder so maybe it won't scare any teams away.

This is absolutely horrible news. I was counting on him switching to righty since he obviously can't pitch with his portside. Geez, one more piece of trade bait down the drain.

There should be barely any restriction in shoulder range of motion. I have a hard time believing this would affect his pitching, but you never know, I guess.
