  1. Those two goals were within :39 seconds of each other. Michigan is very aggressive offensively. Great job, Bucky, exploiting that. It almost looked like a 2-on-1 for the last goal.
  2. Nice use of the Sarcasm tag. It seems like it is a lost art, recently. Wait... should that have been in blue? 🫣
  3. We knew exactly what had happened live. You saw the Achilles simply snap. Can't blame the turf for that one.
  4. I will call myself out -- I thought the Badgers were going to get trounced. Up to this point, the offense did nothing to show they could stay on the field and the defense was very suspect. I was very impressed with the defense. Earlier in the year, it didn't seem like the defensive backfield knew when to hand off receivers to somebody else. They did that much better, although handing off Harrison, Jr. to anybody but a "Richard Sherman" would not have helped 😉 Although Todd Blackledge kept talking about how great the OSU defense was, a lot of the OSU defense success was due to Wisconsin not executing. When Allen went down, I had a really bad feeling. My takeaways: I am excited at what Locke will continue to bring to the table. The TD pass "flick" was reminiscent of what a Mahomes would do. I think he will learn the ins and outs of the Longo system. The offensive line is banged up. However, they did a good job holding off the OSU defense. Much better than I expected. While they lost, I'm still encouraged. That may sound weird, but it wasn't a terrible loss.
  5. I can't see the back side rotation, but it appears the defensemen are much more aggressive. If there is a loose puck towards the faceoff circle on the boards, they are attacking it. Although there weren't a lot of shots on goal, the Badgers controlled the puck in the zone in 5x5 situations. I didn't see Thursday's game, which had the Badgers outshooting the Gophers big time. I was impressed with Minnesota's goalie. I was also sad that so many Gophers have last names from Badger lineage (Snuggerud and Strobel). Oh well.
  6. Opened at 14... moved to 14.5. https://www.scoresandodds.com/ncaaf
  7. Fortunately, I didn't watch the Iowa game because I was building a hunting stand. I watched the game this week and was frustrated and excited. The Badgers make so many mistakes. I was surprised to see Wisconsin had "only" six penalties vs. 9 for the Illini. Of the six penalties, how many were pre-snap? Probably close to all of them. Also, Rucci should be taking Jugs passes with the WR corps -- to SHOW THEM HOW TO CATCH A BALL! How many high-talented WRs came in via transfer portal? I am simply amazed that they can't make even simply catches. Yes -- Locke's passes weren't all perfect, but I thought they were supposed to be ultra-talented. I don't understand why, on 3rd and 1, they are in the shotgun... or the pistol. I almost pooped my pants the one time when they were under center and pushed their way to a first down. They did that with Allen at the end of the game when it was 2nd and 1 from the 1. Stuff city... On a RPO or a read option, I think it is ok for Locke to keep the ball. If it is an integral part of the "air raid" offense, they should be practicing it a lot. Maybe that is why the Wisconsin defender got burnt at the end of the game when Altmyer kept the ball -- because Wisconsin's offense RARELY has the QB keep the ball. Keep the defense honest. However, I am excited to see Locke progress. He dropped the one in the bucket nicely, but he needs to learn to lead the crossers a little bit more. He also showed some moxie getting up after getting sacked on the targeting call. That said, Badgers lose by 50+ next week to OSU.
  8. It is not just “at this point.” Some have been pointing out these things all year. Not holding them accountable is just cringe.
  9. And that starts with getting rid of the two hitting coaches.
  10. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????!!!!!! By the way, I need to... ... get up and get something... ...from the fridge right in the middle of this message. I can't wait until I'm done with the message. I don't care if other people want to read... ... one continuous message. FYI -- this is a short rant about people who get up in the middle of in inning over and over and over and over. I'm here to watch the game, not to watch you stumble and not try to spill your beer or nachos.
  11. The Brewers got too excited yesterday. The baserunning errors were because they were not staying the course. I admire what Yelich was trying to do, but the SS ended up going back to third. Also, there had damn well better be some type of a plan for the hitters going up to the plate. I seriously think swinging at a pitch at the letters or four balls off the inside on strike zero constitutes hitters having a plan.
  12. I think you are right on. I believe he was told to do that to elevate the ball more. Not a fan of that, quite honestly. I think as he squats, his head isn't staying at the same level. His hands are dropping and that is why he can't stay on top of the ball.
  13. Yes, the court of public opinion sucks sometimes. I think people condemned him because of some of his off the wall (or over the wall) actions on the field. There are things that are said in the press and even on message boards in speculation. Heck, if somebody posts an opinion on a blog, there are major news services that will quote that as fact. Pick a little - talk a little (except using the Internet... so it would be type a little?). The accuser should not get off. I understand why Bauer wants this to be over.
  14. Andrew Monasterio's performance probably played a big factor.
  15. Cubs game: Mr. No Depth Perception... wow. What a meltdown.
  16. One thing that works for the Deer district is that it is downtown. People can walk not only to the Fiserv forum, but to the restaurants there. Why? Because there are enough condos, apartments, and campuses (MSOE and Marquette) nearby -- people live there. Am Fam field is still, sort of, in the middle of nowhere with the buffer of parking lots to help isolate it. To have an entertainment district, there would need to be something similar to that at the Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek. You have to get people who will be living nearby. That and have a lot more restaurants, etc. that people will want to go to. Maybe there needs to be some more white collar businesses in the vicinity, too. Imagine what could be if there was a real light rail system in Milwaukee. The Hop is, well, a bit of a joke. From what I recall, the Metro in Minneapolis gets people to Target Field, US Bank, etc. quickly and easily (I can certainly be wrong there). So... throwing spaghetti on the wall in a brainstorming capacity... Take some of the area around Am Fam to create condos / apartments Build something that will have well-established businesses move down there to get people into that district Provide a better mass transit solution to get in and out of that area. Put in a hotel or two and have events on a regular basis within Am Fam field in the offseason. There are plenty of meeting rooms, etc. where they can have larger events. Create a covered walkway from the above items to Am Fam so people can walk from the hotels to the stadium in the winter. Not sure if these are good ideas or if they are even feasible.
  17. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the guys on TV. I didn't know that.
  18. I still think OSU will put 60+ on Bucky.
  19. I saw that too, but wasn't really surprised. There are some blueblood brands that will trump relationships. Duke is one of them. Oh well.
