  1. There are concerns about a knee issue that have come up
  2. Also stupid since they paid a 1st round price for Watson
  3. Good pick given the huge need the Packers have but I am also assuming Johnson's medical issues are severe
  4. Sounds like the Packers are trying to trade back, see if the Giants are serious about getting Sanders
  5. Off ball linebacker in round 1 is just such a waste of resources when you have so many holes
  6. A #5 will almost never be allowed to go through the order 3 times.
  7. Got our Colin Rea replacement!
  8. I think its more panic than prospect shopping.
  9. I am not a huge draft guy. I do not dive into mock drafts like some. I just feel if there is a 20 year old atheletic semi-project DE available Gute will not be able to help himself. So if Scourton is there he will be the pick
  10. Except he didn't need to be the 26th man, all he needed was a 40 man slot.
  11. not watching was pitch 3 (ball 2) to Contreras that bad as seen on MLB.com?
  12. How many pitches is Peguero going to go? Guess Weeks decided he had better things to watch
  13. Well it had been a few innings since the Brewers gave up a home run
  14. The White Sox are carrying a no hitter into the 6th
  15. I thought there was a $10,000 fee or something for the waiver process? Meaning most cash trades are really good will in nature.
  16. Usually it's equal to the cost of a waiver claim
  17. Center field
  18. I think people are overestimating the cost of Mayo here. At best right now he is a FV 55 prospect given the serious concerns about his defensive position (and if we avoid some of the prospect inflation MLB pipeline tends to grade out). That of course is still a great prospect! A FV 55 position prospect is worth $46 million. Misiorowski is a FV 55 pitching prospect which has a value of $34 million. That is the main piece. A second piece would be Lara and then maybe Quintana. So one top prospect, one good prospect and one decent prospect. Two top prospects is too much. You could also replace Misiorowski with Frelick who is probably the most replaceable player on the MLB roster since he is playing out of position.
  19. Canha has a wRC+ of 124 against left handed pitching in 2024 and 125 in 2023. He is a decent 1B glove and can fill in the OF in a pinch. Bauers has had 1744 plate appearances to produce a -1.3 WAR with a career 84 wRC+ and should not be in the OF. I don't get what more he has to disprove.
  20. There was a stadium deal, Sternberg couldn't(wouldn't?) get his financing in order for the $700 million he agreed to cover. MLB might be trying to avoid another A's situation with a MLB team barnstorming different AAA venues.
  21. Pickens and Metcalf together was going to be interesting but adding Rodgers? Ohh Boy.
  22. Right but the point is that giving a guy $1 million is hardly some deep commitment. Luke Voit got $2 million and was gone in a month. I still expect they see something in Alexander but $1 million would be close to the minimum if the guy had other 26 man offers.
