    As of right now, Purdue and Northwestern are the only 2 games Wisconsin is projected to win, big favorites over Purdue and slight favorites over Northwestern. They are expected to not really be competitive in any of the other games except Minnesota.

    Yep. Williams has like $8m in excess value, Lara about $6m, Black maybe $4m. Westburg is has an excess value of like $25m for next year alone.

    Pre-arb means the layer does not have enough service time to enter arbitration (typically 3 years). The Brewers can renew Mitchell at the minimum pre-arby salary but many teams do have small incentives to raise salaries above the minimum especially for starters. You can sign a player to a contract the replaces their arbitration years, but that makes the contract guaranteed where under arbitration you can non-tender the player without any salary owed. For Mitchell, he's just hardly played so it's really hard to guess about what to do.

    I don't want to say Willis isn't playing well, he clearly is. Especially considering he has two weeks to get things together. Just that there are reasons why he went where he did in the draft and why Tennessee went with Levis. LaFleur is also a better coach then Willis ever had before with the ability to shape game plans to him.

    Willis has been even more turnover prone than Levis. That last play was what they saw, the tight end is open and on the dump off but Willis didn't make it through his reads.

    Arbitration tends to be 20%/40%/60% of free agent value. If you assume then that a Contreras projects at a 4 win catcher that is like $8m/$16m/$24m. A 5 win catcher and its $10m/$20m/$30m. Now catchers due tend to get underpriced, but $50m for his 3 arbitration years sounds reasonable.

    Lindor. Not really sure why people ignore him. I think Ohtani will win it, and a 50/50 season will make it a non contest vote, but Lindor has been great.
