  1. I really don't get this Packer fan desire to say all but 2 QBs in the league are crap. Hurts is good.
  2. Crispy Fish is back. Oh wait, that's Arby's news. Carry on.
  3. I made thoughts known on the news article, but I just want to add the hopefully nothing gets determined in Spring Training. Bad decisions are made that way (see Luke Voit).
  4. I mean Bauers was consistent in that he could neither hit nor field. His play at 1B is only good in comparison to Hoskins. His wRC+ of 87 last season matches up with his career line of 84. Monaserio has a career wRC+ of 82 and people want him run out Milwaukee. Bauers has a career WAR of -1.3. There just isn't anything here besides AAA depth. Bauers is one of the best baseball players in the world but unfortunately for him its in the top 1000 and not the top 500.
  5. How is Lux a failed prospect? He's not an an All Star but a solid regular starter who because of time missed may end up being very cheap in arbitration.
  6. Based on what? Of course the last time the Packers entered the first playoff game with such low odds: https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/401547752/packers-cowboys The Packers have a tough road as the 7th seed because they don't have a bye or get to face once of the three also rans (WAS still being much better than the other two). But they will be more like what entering the Minnesota game was like, a coin flip, then severe underdogs.
  7. The terrible, awful two point loss to Minnesota caused the Packers to fall all the way to #4 in DVOA. https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/week-17-dvoa-ravens-keep-climbing
  8. Because that was what was open?
  9. Durbin's numbers are good but he is also old for every level. Durbin had a wRC+ of 129 as a 24 year old in AAA which is fine. For comparison Monasterio has a wRC+ of 121 as a 24 year old in AAA. The real piece here is Cortes who the Yankees must have decided to move out their rotation for whatever reason.
  10. Arenado has approximately zero, perhaps slight negative value on his current contract. He has a projected 5.1 or so wins over the next two seasons while being paid $59m with $12m deferred so close to a wash. Hoskins would be included just to take on prospects, but real prospects not bench players and organizational pitchers. Something equivalent to a FV 45+ player.
  11. The Brewers get a disproportionate share of MLB shared revenue. No one knows exactly how much but estimates are between $100-120 million.
  12. Manfred overseeing MLB playing in minor league stadiums playing by minor league rules.
  13. He's being paid for about 3 wins above replacement over 2 years, hardly looks like some overpay. Basically what he made last year.
  14. If they had hit that play then they would have run out of time at the 5 yd line
  15. The reason why the forum is separate is that the posts on the main forum got people confused between rumors and actual transactions which led to lots of anger.
  16. Walker is often out of position but here he is in position and just can't stop the back. I don't really know what is going to happen with him https://youtu.be/VS26PjZJDG8?si=PORXe8acVzZ3Uy0y&t=271
  17. Yes, not sure what we are counting towards. Are these the probability of being traded? Just 20 guys who could be traded?
  18. Rhys has negative value in the range of $8-10 million. Civale may have positive value in the range of $4-5m. So just to get the Mets to take this for cash considerations you would have to include like Black or Brown and maybe another FV35+ prospect. That is likely not enough to get either Lowe or Diaz and certainly not both. If the Giants are willing to trade Whisenhunt for Williams, that is a red flag that last year has cratered their opinion of him. A top 75-100 pitcher is worth about $21 million, Williams' value is about $10 million.
  19. The ball was knocked around by the wind or badly thrown. It should have been at the numbers or the hash lines (probably the numbers) but was between the two, Watson should still have caught it and did misplay it, but if kept running it would have been behind him by 10-15 yds.
  20. The Brewers took back a ton of salary in the Hader trade.
  21. I see we are back to XPts not counting
  22. After the first play, it read erratic injured QB who can't sell fakes right now.
  23. Are you serious? Unless that piece or two includes Misiorowski that's not happening.
  24. the DVOA prototype CB stat has Alexander and Nixon very good and Stokes very bad.
