Avoid Wal-Mart. They tend to have lower prices due to having inferior quality TVs. Target can be similar. As to online TV buying, returns can be a big hassle and they usually only accept returns when a certain number of pixels burn out. I'd likely stick to Best Buy or more likely an Olevia or Vizio from Costco or Sam's Club.
And what do Julio, Gagne, and Coffey bring? The knowledge of sucking at a major league level? Don't know how you can't see anything n Swindle. He isn't that old. You'r right it isn't 2004 so we don't have to look for "veteran leadership" and should actually get the guys with the most talent
Hart basically said that he changed his approach last year to "be more aggressive" and "put the ball in play" which is why his 1st pitch in play stat was off the charts
Actually it isn't minor. The #1 and #2 guys get 35-36 starts if fully healthy and they skip #5 starts. While #5 starters are 28-30 starts. That's 20-30 innings of work or 15-20% more innings.
In one word yes. OBP and SLG are first order concerns for offense. They basically make up about 95% of offense, everything else basically fits in the remaining 5%. (Ok, really high level of SBs can be more than 5%, but it needs be really high)
This is why Selig is a bad commissioner. The NBA can have a ref fix games and in scant time it isn't being brought up because Stern pretends everything is fine even if it isn't. Selig just brining this up means it will be discussed causing problems.
Has anyone ever pined for Rottino? I mean there was some discussion of Rottino being more useful than Magruder or Trent Durrington but that isn't exactly pining
No he had one really good month in August. His other "dominating " month is the result of scoring decisions and not how well he pitched. Fangraphs values hmi at -400K last season.
And if you throw out three starts from August he should be released. He had two months with as many runs allowed as innings pitched. He lost 1 mph on his fastball. He is that bad.
Dunn makes some sense because his bat is good. Abreu's isn't that good anymore. His defense is worse. Abreu's CHONE projection: .273/.379/.408 Hart's CHONE projection: .278/.335/.479 Now consider Abreu was 25 runs below average on RF while Hart was 5 above
Big difference in my mind. Pot is not performance enhancing... and it won't harm his legacy, really, in any way... A-Rod, however, is now a liar and a cheat... Damn! I heard he was so counting on getting Saint Hood in 2113!
McClung isn't any better than Difelice and maybe slightly better than Wright. McClung in long relief doesn't do much of anything. He is replacement level and if the Brewers can find another pitcher I still wouldn't be surprised to see him cut.
Just a quick CHONE projection comparison: Looper : 4.85 ERA 130 innings 4.75 FIP Suppan: 5.31 ERA 161 innings 5.01 FIP Looper is likely about a 1-1.5 win improvement over McClung. Better than what the Brewers had but given the available pitchers this offseason not really exciting.
It wasn't half a season, his plate discipline was bad the entire year. As teh brek he was at .289/.327. That's not good. As for the home runs, pretty meaningless, he still had an ISO about .200 so he had decent power.
