  1. Caught this game way late but nice to see Perkins have such a great game both on offense and defense, he really needed that. He was super hot to start then freezing cold, hopefully he can gain some consistency over the rest of the year.
  2. Well yeah, if the Brewers wanted to give Hader $100 million guaranteed they could have had him back plus Payamps. Can't really pull off any trades without taking money into consideration.
  3. It doesn't look like it is here in this thread but right after this happened there was a report by I believe Rosiak that eveything was fine and I just knew that everything was't just fine. I would agree, super annoying.
  4. This is a game that really could set the tone the rest of the series. Brown doesn't usually go more than a few at the most. Get to the bullpen and have a worn out bullpen the final two games.
  5. Three of the first four Red Sox hitters are lefties so could be an opener. I hope at least.
  6. Since the Brewers struggles against lefties continue have to mention how well David Fry is playing for the Guardians. 395/531/737/1267 against everybody for the month of May and 1426 OPS overall against lefties for the year. Along with Daniel Norris for Reese Olson and Matt Bush for Antoine Kelly, J.C. Mejia for David Fry is another recent bad trade for bad relief pitchers.
  7. Don't really think that is true, I use a Yahoo e-mail for more promotional/sales/coupon type e-mails but still get a valid e-mail now and then but can go days or even a week before logging into that e-mail account.
  8. With White looking like a DFA and Ross hurt it might make sense to bring back Uribe. Have not heard anything about his suspension being upheld or reduced so assume he is good to pitch.
  9. Would rather have Wiemer in CF against lefties than trying to force the issue hoping that Perkins turns it around against lefties.
  10. Keep Contreras at or near the top of the lineup, as many as bats as possible..
  11. As much as I don't think they will extend Contreras it is also obvious it will be a topic in the Milwaukee media for years to come so better get used to it.
  12. The bench is very weak right now with Roller, Miller, Monasterio and Perkins. Pretty much any pinch hit is going to be a downgrade unless a bench guy is starting. If Murphy puts in his "A" lineup right now he needs to stick with it.
  13. It was crazy they played last night, looked scary.
  14. I must have missed it but according to the Brewers, Taylor Clarke was taken off the IL and optioned on Wednesday so we won't see him up here for a bit.
  15. Losing Adames will be tough but a potential Wilken/Ortiz/Turang infield for a number of years could be fun.
  16. They may be waiting out his hearing as well. Don't know how him being in the minors impacts that.
  17. Adames to the Red Sox is not really a rumor more a guy saying he is a potential target. Also, from December.
  18. I really don't see a scenario where Williams is traded this season. He will have to show he is healthy somewhere around Mid-July and if he is healthy that is a great guy to have the last couple of months of the season. After the season a decent possibility for trade. In general there is no real need to trade from the bullpen depth. It only gets tight if they bring up another out of option guy like Paredas. In that case they probably need to DFA Viera. Viera is okay for that role right now but certainly a chance to upgrade that spot. Do agree that they should be able to avoid trades for marginal guys like Morris and Bush that results in them losing prospects like Olson and Kelly.
  19. It looks like Tyler Black will have the game winning three run HR in the 10th.
  20. I think Taylor Clarke may take Vieira's spot in the not too distant future since it gives them some more flexbility with his option remaining. Maybe even in time for the Astros series.
  21. I have no problem playing Perkins with his defense but when Perkins is batting 5th against a lefty they need better options against LHP. It looked improved prior to the season but they have done very poorly against them this year.
  22. This was mentioned way back when he was acquired but he was a 800 OPS guy for the Yankees until August 1 when the bottom fell out. He has done this before, would be great if he did it for the whole year this time around.
  23. I think a fair amount of people liked Khris Davis at the time but always had the poor arm and had the older prospect label. Wish Jacob Nottingham turned out better. Will say he is one guy you can turn to as somebody that was sent back to the minors after making the opening day roster and then Krushing the ball after he came back later that summer. 500 OPS guy when optioned and 1000+ OPS guye when he returned. Maybe history will repeat itself with Chourio.
  24. For your next article please be critical of the Brewers for extending Chourio before even playing a game in the majors.
  25. Three in a row for the Admirals as they advance. Was a fun game last night.
