  1. Will have to wait for the final details but at the very least would be nice not to have to worry about service time manipulation with Chourio. Being small market Milwaukee there is certainly risk and that can't be ignored. However, if there are some option years that enables the Brewers to keep him in Milwaukee throughout his 20's then it is worth it in my opinion.
  2. 4 pages is a lot for Bauers but not exactly a lot to talk about so not real surprising. He actually looked pretty decent through July. Thought he might even be a Brewers target at the trade deadline with the way Winker/Tellez and the 1B/DH castoffs were playing. Would absolutely take 232/314/497/811 out of Bauers which he was through July. However, August and September happened and he was absolutely brutal, can't hit much worse than that and struck out over 40% of the time.
  3. The second round pick without Rodgers about the same as first round pick with. Was always going to be around and 30, give or take a few. At least Rodgers doesn't have to worry about rushing back. I hope he can come back healthy and have one more good year.
  4. I do wonder what kind of market Murphy has as he has been productive but in very limited playing time and always gets hurt. He would be a good target but I'm sure he will try to cash in during perhaps his only chance and require a multi year deal.
  5. I'm all for adding good players, which Chapman is. However, don't see any way the Brewers compete against the big market teams for his services. If going this route would rather they extend Adames for his age 28-32 seasons.
  6. Last year was arbitration 3 for Woodruff, there was certainly some service time manipulation with him. This would have been arbitration 4.
  7. With all the rumors today it turns out Woodruff really didn't have any trade value. Hard to say the Brewers are stupid for non tendering when no one else is willing to give him a one year deal on an arbitration salary.
  8. I would say zero trade value but we will likely find out within a couple of hours.
  9. I was on board with a two year deal but think they non tender.
  10. You mention a $8 million savings but closer to 10 with 11.5 Canha salary and projected 1.7 million Taylor salary.. The $2 million buyout was NA after the trade to Detroit.
  11. Moore and Mendez slot in at 25 and 30 respectively on the Phillies Pipeline. Seeing the Phillies did not even add their #6 prospect to the 40 man it makes sense that they were willing to trade Dunn.
  12. For those that follow the lower minor more closely why was Gillaspie released by the Brewers in 2019 after a decent initial season in A ball? This was before COVID. Any clue why his strikeout totals increased after leaving the Brewers?
  13. Since we have a few hours left I'll guess that the Brewers do add a pitcher to their 40 man from another team in a minor trade, looking at the Rangers with a number of relief prospects since they can't add them all.
  14. Had not gone in a couple of years but went to the first Michigan game and that place was electric, very fun. Can't wait to attend some more games.
  15. The one constant in the starting rotation through all the years Ray has been Adrian Houser.
  16. I have not really been following the Fall season but nice to see Eric Brown performing well and interacting with the fans. I doubt Wes Clarke will get a 40 man spot but still glad he was able to build upon his solid 2023 season in Biloxi. Could see him getting an opportunity in the bigs in 2024 at some point.
  17. He was a 100 OPS guy with the Mets, he is 35, that is probably who he is or worse going forward. Age catches up with everybody.
  18. Which means nothing since it is voted before the playoffs.
  19. It will be kind of funny when he wins manager of the year.
  20. Written by M. Night Shyamalan
  21. Similar to the Wong trade last year but fortunately don't take a bad contract in return. Canha certainly proved me wrong with his production here but still not a believer in him.
  22. Justin Wilson was reinjured warming up in Atlanta, never pitched an inning for the Brewers. Bryse Wilson is arbitration eligible, he pitched quite a bit better than his peripheral numbers would indicate but certainly an effective low leverage player.
  23. Doubt it, every year it is assumed he is done with the Brewers and every year he is a starter. They are guaranteeing Rea 4.5 million, not going to cost much more than that to keep Houser.
  24. 2/25 seems too much for a 2025 season that will be filled with question marks. 2/15 would be more than fair as it guarantees Woodruff some pretty good money even if he doesn't come back. If he is non tendered he is probably looking at a one year contract prove it deal anyway. Really too bad he can't get a big contract until his age 33 season.
